Yes she is from Star Trek 4:The Voyage Home. It is Gillian, not Jillian.

Uhura (TOS) is probably THE best Star Trek woman, IMHO. I mean she was part of the senior bridge crew, seen prominently in each episode, even when she was pretty much there with not a lot to say. She showed that women could hold a position of seniority, be tough and still be a woman

I wanted to be able to have that much confidence as Uhura showed ^_^
