As I think about, it's hard to choose. They were good solid characters.

I don't know what it is, but for some reason I always seem to like the doctors. On TOS, my second favorite character is McCoy (my first favorite is Spock!). On TNG, my favorite character is Beverly Crusher. On DS9, my favorite character is Bashir. And on VOY, my favorite character is The Doctor! I think that ENT is the only one that I never really cared for the doctor on there. I mean, Phlox was a great character, just not my favorite (Trip is my favorite!).

McCoy is my favorite, I think.

The EMH if I was in critical condition - because I know he would come up with some way to save me; McCoy if I had an injury to my heart or brain, or I just needed some sage advice; Crusher if I had a broken spine or had elevated levels in the hippocampus; and Bashir if I had some type of genetic problem.

Crusher, but only by a margin. Although I think Bashir got the best story, and the EMH had some great episodes of development too.

Leonard "Bones" McCoy. Closely followed by Julian Bashir. But it's a tough question because the doctors tend to be some of the strongest characters on all the shows. I don't really care for Voyager for example, but The Doctor was an excellent character.

McCOy, but i wouldn't mind waking up and see Crusher looking down at me, or even that Vulcan Dr in TNG early seasons.

I voted for Dr. Crusher, but I wondered if an empath had ever been a doctor on a starship or a starbase? Empaths made good counselors, but it seems they might also make good medical doctors. Does anyone know if there has been one?

Just thought this was worth mentioning: The other day I was watching reruns of "The Golden Girls", and on one episode Dorothy had to have foot surgery. Well, her doctor was none other than Robert Picardo! I thought that was hilarious.

By the way, Crusher and Bashir are still my fave doctors! But I do still really like EMH.

That is funny! I wonder if he was Dr. Lewis Zimmerman's ancestor! (Thus, the Doctor's "ancestor," too, in a way).

Hey, that would make a great storyline for a new ST movie! "The Star Trek/Golden Girls Crossover!" Lol, jk.
