I have run this one before, but it is always interesting to get new insite from newer people on the boards. So in your opnion what would be a worst fate to be put through, becoming a host to a Gou'ald, from Stargate, or being assimilated by the borg?

Basically in both cases you are a slave to the will of another (with the Borg is the will of the collective, and with the Goa'uld is it the will of the symbiote), and with both you have a good chance of being killed, and a slim chance of being saved. so it is your choice, and please feel free to give your reasoning behind your desition.

Between them, I'll take the snake. LOL....OOH, and I get light-up eyes, and a DEEP VOICE to intimidate anyone who might try and give me a hard time.

That’s a tough one! While both Dr. Crusher (ST: TNG) and The Doctor (Star Trek Voyager) were able to remove Borg drones from the collective (Hugh & Locutus, and Seven of Nine, respectively), it would normally not be possible to remove a Goa’uld symbiote without killing the host, although the Tok’ra were able to do so in many cases.

However, the chance of either a Borg drone or Goa’uld host ever being returned to a normal life was remote at best; meanwhile, a Goa’uld host would often be aware of the symbiote’s actions while a Borg drone might not suffer morally from its participation in the actions of the collective. Therefore, between these two choices, being a Goa’uld host might be a marginally worse fate than being a Borg drone.

CRAP, i just realized that my options on the poll are incorect (how the hell did i miss that). So here is what i suggest, treat Yes as Borg and No as Goa'uld, that is if you haven't already voted.
