I would like to see a movie from the "Deep Space Nine" series
I can see little studio interest in that. The series went on far too long as it was. They would have to haul in a big name actor to get any serious interest. I think it is all too long ago now anyway - but perhaps the best you could hope for is some kind of TV special reunion movie or something like that.
I don't know; I think a DS9 movie would be pretty awesome too. It might make DS9 a little bit more popular with fans. =)

Despite everyone hating Wesley Crusher back when TNG made new episodes, I always imagine a future Star Trek series with him as a Starfleet captain.

I think Will Wheaton's performance in the guild speaks well for him, and still think this would be a good idea.

I could also be happy with a captain Riker as well, though I think I would want a further generational gap than this.

Hey, not everyone hated Wesley Crusher! lol. He and his mother are my all-time favorite characters of TNG, equally. =)

We really need a new ST series!
The problem is that the expectations will be way too high...

I don't think high expectations
are the problem. I think high
expectations are the excuse given
to and by the creators of sup-par
spin-offs. STAR TREK isn't so hard.

All of the spin-offs and all of their
characters were FINE. it was the lazy
writing, the repetition ... that stuff.
With ENTERPRISE, they had Jolene Blalock,
willing and ready to bare all, to do any
thing required to boost the ratings and
they screwed her character over, constantly.

It's the writing, Paramount/CBS. That's all.

I'd love a new series, and I would want it to take place some years after TNG era (and forget about Star Trek '09). Exploring more of Gamma and Delta quadrents meeting new enemies and still having some great old ones. One idea I thought would be cool is a star trek show with no humans. I've always been curious about the Borg and would love a show about how they came to be. Have it start off showing them on an Earth-like planet, though larger with a bigger population, the main cast would be scientists who are driving to get newer technologies and by the end of the series having the whole planet assimilated as they then go out looking for more species. Clearly not a thourogh explanation, but it's just an idea. Thoughts?

Well, Star Wars had the Clones Wars, that's gotten pretty popular and got a series. I think Star Trek 11 was supposed to have the effects of Clone Wars. So, making a new Star Trek series would be a logical idea.

If I were to become Overlord of the television industry, I'd probably develop a show citing Nero's time travel. If Starfleet knew that somebody from their universe went back in time and destroyed an entire world, they might form a temporal policing agency to enforce the prime directive. If needed for ratings, you could relate it to the long desired SF Academy idea and have cadets filling the major roles in a quantum leap type of show. At least this way you could throw in a Picard or Janeway appearance as headmaster/admiral to appease the old school fans.

I would like to see the Voyager and Deep Space Nine series merged and then continue both series as if they were one.

I think they should do either a serie right after Enterprise (Don´t know yet how it ends, watching it right now)or like 10-20 years in the future from TNG and those.
