What exactly would a Voyager movie be about?

Janeway unpacking?

Or maybe the crew get lost again?

Seriously people, Voyager is done. They got home. The story ended.

Deal with it.

May God Save The King

>I read a book a year or so ago...I thought it would make a good movie.  You know, Voyager made it home. 7 was teaching.  A new planet eater is on the way.  The female Q tries to save Janeway, who in all foolishness boards a Borg cube that appears to be dead, only to be consumes and assimulated into something new!  In the end, does Janeway die or become a Q herself, and what about that mystery officer working with that other Starfleet officer who was some kind of hero from his planet and a good friend of Picard...somehow that book brought in a lot of Star Trek Characters, was exciting, kept  you reading and ended really well...for the "new Borg" had an escape plan.....wish I could remember that title, the cover had 7 on it......

I didn't read that book, but I believe it's Before Dishonor by Peter David. Kristen Beyer then wrote Full Circle and a sequel called Unworthy. They are Voyager stories that tie in with Peter David's books. I don't like them because Janeway is gone. I would like to see a movie involving species 8472. I think that would make an excellent crossover movie if done right.

^ 8472 is cool.

It's strange, being a catalyst for things that move outside.

You have valid points and would agree if I didn't read the relaunch novels. I suggest you at least read the summary of "full circle" and "unworthy" in memory beta. They found a plot that works quite well.

It would definitely be possible to create a new Voyager story, both in possible movies and books. Maybe with adventures in the Alpha, Beta and Gamma Quadrant. Maybe even a return to the Delta Quadrant.

But I strongly recommend against using the current "relaunch Books" scenario because it doesn't include all the main characters.

I have had enough of character destruction and annihilation of the Voyager characters.

Maukawoman09, I did not like your ideas, no offense just not my thing. However, I would welcome a new VOY, ENT or DS9 movie... unfortunately I do not have faith in the fact that any of those shows will return. If they did (even in a television film) I would jump for JOY!!! Lolz, xD...

The relaunch books only miss 3 characters. They visited neelix, but yknow he had another life now. Janeway is dead but I hope Q returns her as the fleet needs an admiral. And Tuvok is on Titan where he has his wife, which is great, and he has been very well developed there. Barclay is on the crew now too, which is excellent.

Honestly people, can you be as narrow-minded as to think it is impossible to invent a new Voyager plot worth making a movie? As several commited Voyagerians (is that the word) pointed out, it is possible and it can be made perfectly plausible. For example, there is a number of species in the Delta Quadrant Voyager knows best how to deal with, and who's to say after such a long pause people couldn't have invented already the technology to jump over even such vast spaces as this from Alpha Quadrant to the Delta Quadrant? May be it is a mission to help destroy the Borg for good? (This will be an awesome movie). May be it is yet a further exploring expedition...
But everything IS possible, you of all people should know this, Voyagerians!

The borg ARE destroyed for good, and was done so well in Destiny. Voyager DID return to the delta quadrant for meaningful reasons in Full Circle. A movie won't happen, not for lack if creativity, but lack of general interest inside and outside the fanbase. People are already so biased against it that wouldn't give a live action work a chance. Add to that that most of the actors have moved on in their careers and have already said they have no desire of doing VOY again.

I also think that a movie is out of the question. The actors have aged, moved on and many of them aren't interested anymore. Personally I would hate the idea of a re-boot with other actors than Mulgrew and the others.

It's just a pity that the direction of the books have taken such a depressive and destructive way. I just hate the whole scenario with Janeway killed of and Kes, Neelix and Tuvok missing.

People move on in their lives and career. That is life and realistic. Who is going to believe all those driven people are going to want to stay at the same post their entire lives or go back to delta? That makes no sense. The books maintained lots of core characters, added some interesting ones and kept the core values of VOY the sam, except now they CAN go home. All of us have family die and coworkers leave but we keep our story going and values the same, right? Or do you need Han and Luke to make a good Star Wars story? No. If you can't move on from those things, then you are handicapping yourself from a lot of enjoyment.

everytime timelines are messed with...you find yourself missing points..making mistakes and eventually having people like us catch you up in every wrong turn you made making the movie. so if your a movie maker who also are a trek fan and read this. do your homework or be like JJ and get schooled on how you shouldnt mess with timelines!

One damn minute, Admiral.
