for me in no certain order i think the most power full ships are

borg cubes

dominion mega warship (ds9: valiant)

defiant

klingon mega cruiser from alternate universe

Well, the Schimitar seemed to pack quite a whollop, ugly as it was.

Enterprise E seems to be the most powerful the Federation has to offer.

As form the most powerful of all the ships in Star Trek history........I'm going with Vger, that thing digitized planets, 3 Klingon battlecruisers, one space station and the entire earth planetary defence grid in a matter of seconds.

theee scimitar seemed pwoerful but it did have flaws and enterpise e was able to take it down, the defiant is also as or more pwoerful then enterprise e because of the stealth , quantum torpedos and the pulse phasors.

ya but just cause they defeat borg they could be useless against dominion and so on.

Best federation ship- does the galaxy dreadnought/AGT galaxy count? Of all races- I'd have to say that dinosaur ship from voyager. It could teleport an entire ship! Borg had nothing on them.

the interesting about the borg is that in tng it takes fleets to even scratch a borg cube but then in voyager they fire 1 photon torpedo and scratch 1 less cube , u could always say that the federation made technoligcal advances in that time but in like 5 years its imposible they could make enof advancments to make that much of a differense, in short its hard to compare dominion to the borg.

The Enterprise E would take down a Defiant Class, and after the E enters service Prometheus is no longer Starfleets most advanced ship.
Circa Endgame Voyager is armed to the teeth and able to one shot kill a Borg Cube, but I'd have to say that Species 8472 Bio ships are probably top of the list or there about.

If you can read this it means I've got something to work on here.

Hi Shuttle, I tried to post an answer last night but this crazy site logged me off and I lost everything I'd wrote......

Yup your right, that was a rookie mistake I made lol. The Enterprise does seem to be much more heavily armed in terms of phaser banks and Photon/Quantum launchers, although I can't find anything that says she has the same Type XI phasers that Prometheus has, but surely Starfleet would retro fit them anyways. Not sure about Ablative armour, I thought Enterprise had it, but can't find anything on that either. Enterprise is a much bigger ship which in theory could laydown superior firepower in less time, but Prometheus has the ability to attack from three positions at once with (maybe) slightly more advanced weapons and shields.

Not all of Voyagers upgrades were from the future, and it would be unlikely that the ones Janeway brought back would be discarded, Starfleet would never pass up the opportunity to seriously "beef up" their Starships at a time when they'd been attacked by so many different enemies.

M.R. If your gonna go down the timeship route then the Krenim have everyone beat.
