Remember Susan Rice, the woman who lied about Benghazi and then got caught?  Well afterwards Obama rewarded her with a promotion and now she says that she has no regrets about what she did.  Sounds exactly like the Obama administration.

Ah yes.... Attorney General Eric Holder is now telling the states' Attorney Generals they can just ignore laws that they don't like.  So the top law enforcer in the USA has given everyone the go ahead to just ignore laws?  Hmmm.... I'm sensing a patern with this administration....

Aside from the dangerous and illegal precedent this starts, what would Holder do if I did what he said and chose to ignore Obama's laws?

I love the video coming out showing Palin & Romney (and everyone else that knows just the smallest amount of history) warning us about Russia (and being right) and then contrasting that with Obama promising to be able to do more for Russia....

And now look at what's happening....

I have to laugh... Obama's "Common Core" is getting exposed for how bad it is.... so the answer is to rename it.  In Iowa, it's now called "The Iowa Core" and in Florida, it's now called "Next Generation Sunshine State Standards."  Just like how the Progressives got such a bad name a century ago after people realized what they were doing, so instead of fixing their mistakes, they just relabled themselves to "liberals."

As Mike Huckabee recently said to the Council of Chief State School Officers, “Rebrand it, refocus it, but don’t retreat.”

Same playbook.

Labor Force Participation in 2013 Lowest in 35 Years

(And remember... The Obama Administration has officially said it was a good thing that less people are working (and that those that are working are working less.)

I don't like Marxism, socialism or any other tyrannical/authoritarian style of government.  The only thing it leads to is mass death and destruction.

"The most effectual means of preventing [the perversion of power into tyranny are] to illuminate, as far as practicable, the minds of the people at large, and more especially to give them knowledge of those facts which history exhibits, that possessed thereby of the experience of other ages and countries, they may be enabled to know ambition under all its shapes, and prompt to exert their natural powers to defeat its purposes." --Thomas Jefferson: Diffusion of Knowledge Bill, 1779. Well...  Depending on who you listen to, there are different perspectives.  I do my best to study history and make correlations.  When Obama (or anyone else) pushes policies that are the exact same thing as other authoritarian governments have done before, I call it out - and I don't care which political party they belong to.  People are definitely free to disagree, but I try to base my opinions on facts, not partisan rhetoric.  What's sad is that when I was calling out what Bush was doing, most Democrats/Socialists here agreed with me, but now that I'm calling out the exact same things for Obama, those same people are against me.  They think that it's okay if their guy does it, but not anyone else.  For me, it's about principles, not political party.

I especially love it when there's video of someone saying/doing X and then later on, when someone points out what they said/did, they argue that it never happened....  And then when you can show other people in history saying/doing the exact same thing and show the consequences.....  That really upsets them.

If I may ask, which country are you from?

Had to laugh.... Lois Lerner - the person in charge of the group in the IRS that was targetting groups that Obama considers enemies - agreed to testify today, but when she showed, she refused (again.)

Remember, Obama is using the IRS to intimidate, persecute, target and completely silence everyone who is pro-Constitutiton, pro-Liberty and pro-American.  This is very similar to when Nixon did this - and was included in his articles of impeachment.

Once again, this is exactly how Obama's "most transparent administration in history" does things - they hide the truth when they get caught breaking the law.

It is sad that people stick with parties so religiously. I think the whole party thing is a little messed up. I tend to vote for the guy that seems to suit the need at the time. I get the feeling you are the same.
I'm Canadian by the way.

Exactly - for some reason, many people in the parties are very "religious" about their party.  They identify more with their party than their country or their country's values.  And they'll support their party's power over everything else... compromising integrity, freedom, etc. for the sake of the party's power.  I only refer to President Washington's Farewell Address when people start talking partisanship over principles.

As for my votes - yes, I always vote on principle, not along party lines.  Before I started doing the absentee ballot, I would go into the voting precinct with a filled out sample ballot that I had spent hours doing research on every person and issue on the ballot.  It amazed me how many people asked me for my sample ballot because they had absolutely no clue what was going on and who to vote for.  I'd never give it to anyone, instead suggesting to them to do their own homework.  Yes, it takes time, but that's what's needed to be an informed citizen.

There's a few other Canadians here too, but not on very often.
