Boehner has already bowed to Obama too many times.  What you don't understand is that Obama has no power to get rid of Boehner as Obama is not king.  No way Nancy Pelosi will be speaker again unless the she gets enough votes... but since the majority are not democrats, I doubt that's going to happen.

But thanks for showing us again how little you know about how the government works.

How soon before the next big crash?

That's the BIG question. Peter Schiff believes it'll happen before Obama's second term ends, if not sooner. He's amazed it hasn't happened already.  But the more the Federal Reserve postpones the day of reckoning, the worse it'll be.

Many of the people that study this say that unless our freedom is restored (stop the Fed, get rid of restrictive regulations, etc.), there's going to be a major correction coming along with possible high or hyperinflation.

Some people are starting to wake up, but too many people want to continue "kicking the can down the road."

I'm betting on hyperinflation. I don't want it, but the politicians seem to be railroading the country to that end.

Wait, what? Pelosi is one of the reasons that Federal spending shot up during Obama's first term. The Democrats controlled both Houses and the White House, which resulted in wonderful little gems such as Obama saying, "You lost, Republicans, get to the back of the bus."

Pelosi is the one who said that they had to pass the Healthcare law in order to read it. She constantly insisted that she had a right to power, destroyed political opponents to further her own gains, and built up her power as Speaker.

Pelosi continues to believe that we do not have a spending problem, we have an income problem, while having no problem using her private jet to go wherever she likes.

Boehner has compromised, offered alternate plans, and budgets, while Obama and the Democrats have rejected them, but offering no alternative.

Pelosi showed no willingness to compromise, villifies Republicans at every turn, and misleads the public with false information.

I really don't want to see her back.

I've been expecting hyperinflation for a while, but as I've studied it (and history of some countries that have gone through hyperinflation) and we're definitely going down that path.

I think it really comes down to the argument of what the goal of the government is... if they want to actually destroy the economy and country, hyperinflation will happen.  But if they want to control the people without the appearance of destruction, then I think that high inflation (30%-100% per year over 3-5 years) will be the preferred method as it will destroy the life savings of all the responsible people while keeping the cronies who keep getting government money in line.

I saw some interesting statistics today:

Dow Jones Industrial Average: Then 14164.5; Now 14164.5
Regular Gas Price: Then $2.75; Now $3.73
GDP Growth: Then +2.5%; Now +1.6%
Americans Unemployed (in Labor Force): Then 6.7 million; Now 13.2 million
Americans On Food Stamps: Then 26.9 million; Now 47.69 million
Size of Fed's Balance Sheet: Then $0.89 trillion; Now $3.01 trillion
US Debt as a Percentage of GDP: Then ~38%; Now 74.2%
US Deficit (LTM): Then $97 billion; Now $975.6 billion
Total US Debt Oustanding: Then $9.008 trillion; Now $16.43 trillion
US Household Debt: Then $13.5 trillion; Now 12.87 trillion
Labor Force Particpation Rate: Then 65.8%; Now 63.6%
Consumer Confidence: Then 99.5; Now 69.6
S&P Rating of the US: Then AAA; Now AA+
VIX: Then 17.5%; Now 14%
10 Year Treasury Yield: Then 4.64%; Now 1.89%
EURUSD: Then 1.4145; Now 1.3050
Gold: Then $748; Now $1583
NYSE Average LTM Volume (per day): Then 1.3 billion shares; Now 545 million shares

I expect that the S&P rating to go down again.  The only good thing I see is the households are starting to pay off their debt (and not going into it as much.)

Saw that Sen Rand Paul, with the help a few others, is filibustering the CIA nomination as a way to get the Obama administration to give more information on Obama's push to be able to use drones to kill Americans on US soil who don't present an imminent threat (in other words, killing non-combatants.)

I am waiting to see Obama's response to Holder's admission at the Judiciary Committee that drone strikes are unconstitutional, despite his letter to the contrary.

I like Paul, and Cruz and the way they are asking hard questions and holding the administration accountable for their choices, rather than just letting it slide.

I am concerned that people will see as just more political maneuvering on Paul's part rather than legitimate questions of presidential power

Rand tried to get a resolution passed saying that killing non-combatants in the USA is unConstitutional.... but Democrats rejected it.  Nobody was surprised.

And now it's coming out that the Obama administration wants to make Sequestration (which was the administrations idea) as painful as possible.

Not only are e-mails becoming public, but as testimonies are happening, it's coming out that the cuts chosen are specifically done to hurt citizens (instead of just cutting fat and running their departments more efficiently.)  Here's just one example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cKbMhr-cfh8

Now my opinion is that they could cut a whole lot more.... even if it is "painful", it'll be better than the alternative.  And people would realize that they don't need the government providing all the services.

Peter Schiff explains why companies like S&P won't be downgrading the U.S. Treasury any time soon.

Yea.... government doesn't like the truth, so they use intimidation to stop people from telling it.

I'd say that the rating for the US Government should be BBB or possibly even BB.  Definitely NOT something I would invest in.

I have yet to see evidence to the contrary. So, yes, I still believe he is a liberal. A very extreme, power hungry liberal, but a liberal none the less.

Yes - Obama is a big oppressive goverment "we can do anything we want to anyone else" ProRegressive who wants ultimate rule over the subjects.  Obama does NOT believe in liberty nor the Constitution.
