Unfortunately, Congress and the President seemed to think we can tax our way to prosperity but the math doesn't add up.

I get that what Bush did was spend too much, but Obama has spent more in 4 years than any president in history!

Obama actively seeks to bypass Congress legitimate power through exectuive orders and special appointments, such as his "czars" that are appointed with no oversight or input from the legislative branch.

Obama rails against the sequester even though it was his idea. The sequester will merely reduce spending by less than 1/4 of a precent, which means no fatalistic cuts to any department. In fact, Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security (which represents the largest liability in the federal budget) cannot be touched by the sequester. Only discretionary spending can be touched.

Oh, and the Republicans agreed to the sequester because Obama promised spending cuts in exchange for tax increases. Too bad no cuts are coming...

Obama is damaging the country and pushing us towards a Greecian style socialism that is unsustainable. I am sure that Obama is a nice man, but I will disagree with his policies and others like them because they damage the United States.

What's funny is that this is exactly the same play that they did back in the 90's.  Create a government budget crisis and then grow government to "resolve" it.

I suppose nothing changes or is new under the sun but it is very frustrating. Hate being younger and not knowing then becoming more aware of politics and its impact on my life and the life of the country.

Obama's just doing what his predecessors have done. Nixon spent big. Reagan spent bigger. Bush Sr. went ridiculous. Clinton got worse. Bush Jr. worser (Bushism). What did you expect from Obama? Change?

For those that don't want to research it, here's graph to make it obvious:

Sequester

Notice that squestration is NOT a spending cut, but actually a very minimal change in spending growth.  If the lines went down, then that would be spending cuts.

My bad...I didn't realize that "change" didn't mean change

Thank you Barons (and Bam-Bam for posting it) for saying it far more clearly than I ever could.

Even the Washington Post puts the sequester as Obama's idea even as he tries to wiggle out of it and demanded more taxes (after they have already gone up).

Sorry Obama supporters, he really is doing harm to the country, not good.

Anyone else read Evan Todd's letter to Obama?  Now, I don't know if it's directly related to Obama asking for people to write to him and tell them about their gun violence experiences, but Todd was the first person shot at Columbine, so he's has a unique perspective.

But I fully expect that the president will completely ignore him and continue violating the Constitution.

Please ignore the previous 130 pages and keep this thread on topic.

And to the person most responsible for hijacking and spamming this thread, what do you think about that guy who's not Obama?

More cronyism....

Government redistributes $83 BILLION a year to those "too big to fail" banks.

Hmmmm.... And now the White House is trying to push itself onto state governments and tell them what state laws to do....  So much for the 10th Amendment.

While wathing Ben Swann on youtube, I stumbled across this video in the side lines. It's a great discussion between Alex Jones and Lew Rockwell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPczp5CVn2A
