And we now have Arnaud Montebourg, France’s Industry Minister and a leader in the ruling Socialist party coming out and defending his proposal to nationalize (socialize) a factory and explaining it's the same thing Obama did.

No, I'm not shocked that most democrats support socialism. And a good number of Republicans do too. Why not just be truthful and call themselves socialists?

No wonder why the two candidates were Obama & Romney....

So how many trees does the White House need (especially considering they're going to Hawai'i for 20 days?) 54!!! (I wonder how much carbon those trees were cleaning before..... )

dunno (for either Bush.) And I really don't care how many Obama has (as long as it's not taxpayer funded.) I just think it's funny because he says he believes in "Global Warming." The way he lives proves otherwise.

live trees are actually very environmentally friendly. They grow for 10 years providing lots of oxygen, they require relatively few herbacides and pesticideswhen compared to other crops, they do a remarkable job of retaining soil, and provide a lot of jobs.

agreed, but the photographs I've seen show them all cut - no live trees.

True... but there's a difference between a tree still in the ground and one that's been cut for someone's Christmas tree. The one in the ground is live and the one cut, while a "real" tree, is rapidly dying. Most people get rid of their trees right around New Year.

Like I said before, I don't care how many he has. Most of these trees come from tree farms and are replaced with new trees. It's just that Obama says he believes in "global warming" and if one really does, they wouldn't dare cut down a tree. (But then again, if Obama really believed in it, he'd limit the number of planes his family needs of their personal vacations. )

well when a tree comes from a farm, as christmas trees do, they plant a new tree that stays there for 10 full years till it is harvested. It's an industry. People make their livelyhoods at it. As far as farming goes it's very environmentally friendly
