>Also, both GM and Chrysler have paid back the money they borrowed.
Well... according to the Treasury Departement, the taxpayers lost ~ $23 BILLION.  (And based on how the government does math - I fully expect that number to be very low.)

>So which Obama should we believe?  The one that says that the free market "doesn't work! It has never worked!" (as he did during a speech on 11 December 2011) or that "I believe that the free enterprise system is the greatest engine of prosperity the world’s ever known." as he did during the 16 Oct debate?

Which Romney should we believe? Obama panders to the far-left with his talk of "making the rich pay their fair share," Romney panders to the far-right with his talk of "personal responsibility" and both pander to the center by claiming they are one that is "fighting for the middle class."

It's quite clear that both are capitalists. After all, they are both trying to sell us a load of bullsh!t.

You mean the one that Obama illegally fired or the one that Obama illegally appointed?

Whichever one bragged about 70% of GM vehicles being made outside the US.

I've never suggested that anyone believe any politician... but it's quite funny watching the ProRegressives make excuses for Obama (or just ignore the duplicity.)

And remember that Obama is a Marxist/Communist and absolutely hates capitalism.  He's been trying to destroy it for years.

That's Dan Akerson, the new one that Obama illegally appointed.  Obama illegally fired his predecessor, Rick Wagoner.  It really didn't surprise anyone that Obama's crony would come out bragging how they've shipped jobs overseas and looking to do even more.  (While Obama is complaining about the exact same thing.)

But you're ignoring two points - Obama illegally fired/appointed a CEO to non-government position and Obama used the autobailout to launder our (taxpayers) money to other countries.

If it wasn't such a serious subject, I'd laugh at Jay Leno's "joke" talking about "Don't ask, don't tell" - Obama-style:

“Don’t ask – don’t tell” is back. Not the gays in the military. It’s President Obama’s new policy for questioning about Libya. Don’t ask – don’t tell. That’s the big story. The Republicans are accusing the White House of successfully engineering a massive cover-up of the Libyan attack. But on the plus side, it’s the first time in four years the Republicans have credit to Obama for doing anything successful.

Bam, I am as opposed to corporatism as you are. Here's Ron Paul's take on it:

http://www.lewrockwell.com/paul/paul665.html

Even he says that Obama is not a socialist and that calling him one is a misuse of the term. However, what he and all libertarians don't seem to understand is that not all forms of socialism are authoritarian and state-owned but all free market systems result in corporatism and plutocracy.

Using the definitions I posted before, capitalism is about private control of wealth and resources, socialism is about community control of wealth and resources. Government taking money from the community and giving it to private businesses doesn't sound like socialism to me.

As for shipping jobs overseas, that's capitalism again. Cheap labor means higher profits. Why do you think Libertarians want to get rid of the minimum wage?

Yes.... I know that redistribution of wealth doesn't "sound like socialism" to you, but it does to many of the rest of us.  It sure ain't capitalism!

Are you purposefully trying to change the subject?  I'm talking about Obama illegally firing the CEO of a company and then illegally appointing his own guy and then also pushing GM to merge with Fiat.... and then there's the whole bailout.  (It's just that Obama's appointee was bragging about it and was after the bailout.... so our tax dollars were being laundered, through GM, to other countries using the bailout.  ===  This is just like TARP when the US government laundered money to other countries via the banks.)

Remember one of the first things GM did with the bailout money?  Oh, that's right - build a plant with US taxpayer money in Mexico!

In most cases, I don't care about outsourcing / offshoring - that's capitalism.  (The only time I do care about it is national security.)

Now this is a completely different topic. If you've ever understood supply & demand, you'd know how devistating the minimum wage is.

I would highly suggest you look up Thomas Sowell, Walter E. Williams and Milton Friedman - they have said a lot about minimum wage and make their point a lot more concisely than I can.

Although the media is trying to hide it, more and more is coming out that the White House knew what was going on in Benghazi....

As most of us know, early voting is taking place.  What's interesting is that there appears to be problems with voting kiosks in some states where if you vote for Romney, the vote is showing up for Obama.

I saw something about this happening last week in North Carolina and figured it was a fluke.... but now it's happening in other states - including Kansas and Ohio.

But with over 2 MILLION dead people on the voter rolls, plus illegal aliens.... how much worse can it get?

Reminds me of the voting machines in Robin Williams' "Man of the Year" movie..... well, almost.
