>I love this idea, i feel for her when there's a woman around cause it really hits her. Who wouldn't want him??
there is this really great scene in season six, I wish I could remember the episode, but Beverly doesn't have much to do with the scene, she's just sort of there in a senior staff meeting with the rest of them. And she had maybe one line, but she's standing behind Jean-Luc's chair while everyone is talking and going through whatever was going on. And I don't even think she was supposed to do this, but there is a moment that's not even the focus of the shot, that Beverly is just like ...staring at Jean-Luc and she's leaning against his chair and it's like she suddenly remembers herself and stands up straight and looks the other way, as though she doesn't want to get caught looking at him. But I don't even think it's scripted or meant to be there. It looks like it came straight from Gates McFadden, playing her character extremely well and doing exactly what she thought Beverly would do at that moment. it's great. I need to find that episode so you can see what I'm talking about.

I would love to see the scene you are refering too. : )

I wish so badly that the writer's explored their relationship further in the movies... But I guess the novels will make up for the slack. I am currently reading A Death in Winter. Is there any other great P/C books out there?

I absolutely LOVE the Picard/Crusher relationship. They were just such great friends and they had so much chemistry it was kind of hard not to realize the strong relationship they have. In fact, Beverly was created as a romance for Picard in the first place. Who doesn't want them together? The only thing I can't see them doing is having a baby. Just seems weird.

Really wanna read Death in Winter now...

I love P/C. There's a lot of fanfiction on them out there luckily!

Exactly! Gates Mcfadden said that is why she was interested in the character in the first place... to be the captain's love interest. I just don't understand why it did not evolve more! I can sort of understand why they took it slow in the series... but It just made me mad when she was with Roman, Odon, or anyone... because she should of been with Picard. In the movies, however, the writers or producers should have persued their relationship. I think that is what the majority of fans expected because of the way "All good things" ended, so there was no excuse. Picard didn't need any other love interest in the movies, she was standing right there!

You should read Death in Winter. So far I am loving it! I just never have enough time to read.

Even with 20/20 Hindsight, I can't say
there was any particular justification
to have these two fall for eachother.

I've said elsewhere, that I believe
Picard and Crusher would've made a
great couple. But there is sexual
chemistry between alot of people,
where it doesn't necessarily follow
that they act on it. And that's all
that was really there between Beverly
and Jean-Luc, was a mutual attraction.

Question one: When did the first page of this thread go so screwy?

Thinking about it, a lot of the 'shipping that happened in 7th Season TNG did feel a little wrong. (I include Worf and Troi in that assessment, absolutely!) But on the other hand, there's no reason why every romantic pairing has to be perfect when viewed from the outside -- just because the people involved happen to be TV characters.

I wish this relationship would've been explored more... at least after Beverly hit the emergency brakes in the end of 'Attached'.

You know what -- Honestly? I really like that they did not get together at the end of that episode. It fitted their characters better, and was a lot more poignant in a way. Not to mention, less cliched.
