What about having something called The View Screen? The View Screen would be a seperate forum where a member would pay $5.00 a month to use. They could create their own View Screen Room or use one of the pre-fabricated View Screen Modules for $3.00 a month. Each person not wanting to create create their own View Screen room could either pay $1.00 a week to connect to the general View Screen gathering area or they could pay .15 cents to connect to a View Screen of their choice as long as it wasn't a Private View Screen.

Although most would say we can just use Skype instead. The main issue that would be overcome is that each public View Screen would be attached to a listing of topics for the View Screen where the person could then select to take part in the View Screen. Moderators would be on hand to keep the View Screens civil and would come from those Fans of the these forums that know the rules.

The best thing about this system is that it would be attached to Star Trek.com, it would be moderated by Star Trek.com instead of being a third party service.

Lets revise the pricing.

A Private View Screen - $5.00 a month with upto twenty members joining the Private View Screen.

Non-Private View Screen Members - $3.00 a month would give them the ability to Connect to any public View Screen Forum Topic.

Gold Private View Screen - $7.00 a month (included with the Non-Private View Screen Membership plus $4.00) would allow the person the ability to look in on the production of Trek Movies and engage in discussions with production staff.

Platinum Private View Screen - $15.00 a month ( includes the Gold Package) would allow the person to look in on the production of trek Movies, engage in discussions with production staff along with taking part in live readings of Trek Novels by fans and actors along with being part of Away Team Operations where actors of Trek both old and new would fire up the online camera's to take the View Screen subscriber into a world that the actors normally live in when not involved with Trek...basically a Duck Blind Operation. You would to see all of your favorite actors and Trek Producers in their daily lives.

....gotta stay away from Captain Sisko though...or at least don't tell him what we are doing.

Here is an idea that would be really cool for the fans to produce. The Idea is called the Shipyard. The Shipyard would involve using the Unity Game Engine to create an interactive collection of all of the ships ever seen or thought about in the Trek Universe.

Each race would have their own Docking Bay where 3-D models of each ship would be rendered in full detail both inside and out. The viewer could then take a shuttle to each ship that they wanted to see. Once docked with the ship the viewer would then be able to walk around inside of the ship exploring the interior of the ship from walking through the corridors and crawling through the Jefferies Tubes.

The second part of the Shipyard would be the Classroom Tour where viewers would pay maybe $5.00 a month as a subscription fee to then take a guided tour of various parts of the Universe such as the Sol System and the neighboring systems and even into parts of the Universe such as the Universe's Core where speculation takes place.

Basically the Shipyard would be an educational endeavour based on subscribers being able to walk around a mobile classroom, the Starship, while learning about what is out there past the second star to the right in a STO style interaction.

The travel times to each destination both real and based on the Trek Universe would occur at the same velocites that it would take a starship to travel from point A to point B. During the travel time subscribers could interact in Holodeck Programs such as the Dixon Hill Chronicles or one of Mr. Worf's exercise programs with their avata, while learning how to do the actual exercise in the real world or even learn how to cook some exotic Bajoran dishes with a glass of Blood Wine.

Visit Homeworld Complex to learn how to create mods of Star Trek using Homeworld editors. A bullfrog with a light in its belly is nothing more than a glutton looking to shine otherwise.

I would like to see the whole site revamped so that it feels better put together and less crabby. Also the use of this site on a mobile device is pretty embarrassing and out of date.

Well looks like every thing is revamped but there are a few things missing though. Like the index titles at the top page like before for one thing when you enter various boards.

After you comment in the various threads its nice to click on those links at the top instead of clicking “boards: all the time and start to navigate in order to get to the proper section you would like.

Sometimes I miss a news article and would love to have the option to subscribe to the Star Trek news via the profile - that way, each article that's posted will also come to my inbox.

Be careful what you wish for...

How about redesigning the sidebar to match? Unless this skin is temporary.
