Yeah I have under 300 posts to my history and Yank has over 26K posts (showing that is) he too has the same rank while starbase63 have over 66K posts and is still an Ensign...hmmm

I have thought long and hard about this and at the risk of sounding sarcastic (I am deadly serious), the list of things that don't work, are broken or missing is just so long that it would be easier to annotate what IS working.

Very little is the answer. It's sweet that the Banner changes every time one refreshes the page, however this is no great technical feat is it? I mean I can do that on my LiveJournal Page.

Just by the fact that you have neither responded to nor even acknowledged the heartfelt pleas from members of the previous site, you have demonstrated that whomever is in charge of this laughable 'switch-over' to the ****Sparkly New Vibrant, Drag New Members in at All Costs**** site has failed to service either their new customers (the site is BROKEN) and long-time members have been almost completely ignored or written off by what passes for Admin here. I am sure that there is one poor person stuck in a cubicle somewhere trying to run this without resources or support and I feel for you, whoever you are, I really do...

But frankly the silence is deafening. You are killing off the loyal customers and failing to give anything of value to your new customers - WAKE UP!!!

Please re-open the old site until this one works.

Brava!!  Very well said!  I also agree with TB.  All that was really needed was to fix the Original site/MBs.  At least over there you don't need to know HTML just to quick reply/quick post.


 


It's not too late!  Repair and fix the Original.  Listen to members suggestions about the site/MBs, we're trying to help improve our hang-out and we are most assuradly NOT trying to undermine Admin/TPTB or make fun of Admin/TPTB or make Admin/TPTB feel or look dumb/stupid.


Many of us members have been to many MBs/sites and some of us even run, or have run, our own MBs/sites and we might have found a way around some bugs &/or glitches that Admin/TPTB might not have tried yet or have seen things that work on other MBs that just might work here. We ARE only trying to make this MB/site all it can possably be.


That being said, thanks for putting up a couple of pinned topics where we can at least put the technical issues (AKA bugs & glitches) we find.

I think that there needs to be more threads listed on each page particularly of Ten Forward. And I still think that the threads need to be listed in order of posts rather than the random shuffling that has been going on. While it is interesting to have re-discovered some old threads or what have you, it is also very difficult to engage in any dialogue when they are constantly being buried. On a positive note, however, the log-on problems although not entirely fixed seem to be going better than when I first came across this site.

Oh and Admin if you could keep us updated on what is being fixed, it might make some people here a lot happier. Would I be right in thinking that a large part of the problem is that changes and repairs to this site are not "visible" and therefore little evidenced?

It still says join or log in, yet my name is in the Who is Online.

Not sure what is going on, but I do see the attach signature and notify at the bottom of the quick reply. Not too crazy about the notify me when since the email I get I have to cut & paste it to see what it is and then it takes me to......no where.

I'm still having problems showing that I'm logged in. Although it shows me in the "Who is Online", I don't see it up at the top right of the page. Also, I used to be able to access my profile, but I don't see it now.
