Actually I tell a lie. It is working, sort of. Go to 10-F and click to the last page, all the un-clicked on threads from pages 81-512 are displayed by last post as they should be. The board is counting a view as a post and bumping the threads as you take a butchers.

Yeah, I started to notice that the threads I viewed were showing up in order, even if I didn't comment.
Also, I haven't been logged out in awhile, my A99 account is working now, and the "breadcrub trail" at the top is back. Things are getting back to normal, slowly but surely!

ugh! i hate this new site. i need to post about a dozen times before it works and it keeps logging me out for some reason!

A quick StarTrek.com update:
Thank you for the tech reports and patience while we worked on some issues. We've made considerable progress in the last few days to fix many of the items you reported.
1. Existing members can reset their passwords. If you still have password issues, please email us at tech@StarTrek.com.
2. We have fixed the bug that was automatically logging off some members. You can now login and join discussions on the boards, upload your photos to the galleries and begin commenting on the stories that we're adding every day.
3. Post #s have been corrected. Please note that some #s were affected due to posts that were not migrated after July 2nd and the removal of a few broken boards/posts that could not be migrated to the new site.
4. Photos uploaded to the Galleries are now being autosized.
While we have concentrated on the login & board migration issues, we are also making plans to address member requests to add sorting/filtering views to the episode lists/descriptions and are beginning to look at your suggestions for additional functionality for the boards.
We will continue to work on the site during this beta period and welcome your comments and suggestions.

Thanks for the hard work you guys are putting in. And please forgive any grouchiness on our part which I think is understandable given the death of our perfect Ikonboard forum for a forum in beta stage.

I just attempted to post a comment to the Star Trek in the News - July 20, 2010. Each time I click "Add Your Comment" it pops me up to the top of the page (like it wants me to log in even though I am logged in).

Is all this trouble because these boards are built on a 1999-based coding system? 11 years old? That makes the "old" Ikonboards newer than this format...
In fairness, everything's still got a "beta" symbol next to it, so I am sure they're working on trying to get everything working.

Well, I see my postcount and SBs has been fixed, so that's a step in the right direction. Not sure about the others though :)

post counts should be the last thing they "fix"

Wissa is right, post counts should be at the bottom of the list. First we need the threads displaying correctly so we can go back to normal posting. The community is in danger of splitting up and going to fan sites.

Maybe that is what TPTB/Admin meant when they said that this 'new' board would bring in new members and be so great.
Although I'm not sure what they are measuring this against if this is their idea of 'New & Improved'

Regarding the post count issue, the one in the right top corner for me is wrong. It says there's only 21 posts, but I know there is over 4600, which looks right under the username in a thread. Of course that's not the least of this boards problems, but to say that post counts are correct is wrong. |

i would like my post count fixed, my profile says i only have 125 but my actual count wich shows in my posts is 9924... 9925 after this one. thanks
