That sodding chapter in the last book where she meets the Native American Indians on Mars drove me utterly wacko cos it was so boring. I'm sure I was the only one who was going "GET ON WITH IT MAN!"

Besides the ENT viewpoints, the only other views I enjoyed was the Romulans, the Vulcans, the Admirals, the Andorians and Tellerites and the female Dalai llama.

Yeh, but the series went all those places from time to time, too. Brooks was a major diversion. I kept thinking there would be a big dichotomy between the public's view of the War and the War--that it was going somewhere--but the revelations didn't seem big enough to justify the sidetracks.

I liked hearing from Tucker's family--and actually, I thought scenes like that did a much better job of showing what the War was doing to Earth and humans than Brooks' reporting of it.

I'm still trying to figure out T'Pau's grand master plan for Vulcan to survive in the war, especially with Surak's Katra gone.

I suppose the only good think about that was that it was a nod to the Native American colonists in the S7 episode of Next Gen.

How long was that chapter? 25 pages? Made for dull reading, but showed the effects of the war on the Average Joe who was away from the action.
