I was due to watch The Pegasus[/I tonight. Til the (ahem)ing disc BROKE!

"BROKE" :question:

Oh the bloody disc is faulty. Halfway through [i]Inheritance and "unable to read disc" appears on the screen. I tried it on the computer and another DVD player, and it proved equally as useless.

And I was almost finished Next Gen too! :(

Off-topic, I know. Sorry. But... Sos talking about discs breaking just reminded me...
1. Hasn't that happened to you before?
2. I've started watching Torchwood since we've gotten Netflix. Pretty decent show...

Don't ask me how my mind works... I can just say that this relates to previous conversations that I'm sure are impossible to find now-a-days.

Yeah, the S4 disc with Yesterday's Enterprise is just as useless as this one I found out about, so I went out and got bought another S4 boxset for about 20 euro for the one disc. I've cleaned the S7 one, but it won't play on any DVD player, so it seems I've to purchase another boxset for one disc.

It's driving me kinda crazy that I can't watch any Trek at the moment!

Welcome to Torchwood! :D Where are you? Series 1?

ditto. Trinneer has the ability to make ME cry when HE cries--not easy to do. He "gets it right", as far as actors go.

Because I am an utter idiot, I bought another S7 box, but mercifulliy it was only 20 quid, so it's doesn't bother me that much. Though I have toyed with the idea of bringing it back for a refund, but put in my broken disc..

Funny thing: Deanna seems pretty big now in the storyline for The Pegasus, with her appearence in TATV.... Yet in The Pegasus, she only appears in the "Captain Picard Day" teaser!

Just said I'd add that to the Menage a Troi opening post!

Welcome to Torchwood! :D Where are you? Series 1?

Yep. I saw episode one back when it aired in the US a few years back and I really liked it. So I looked the show up on Netflix. I've seen the first two episodes so far. Gotta get around to watching some more.

I'm not sure if I'm ready for that. Which doctor had the American guy from Torchwood as an assistant? I love that guy.

I'm still on my Enterprise hiatus, bu I'm now watching season 1 of Angel with instant Netflix. I never watched it when it was on before. I'm waiting for the DVDs for a Brit show called "Grafters."

pm it at your earliest convenience.

In your inbox.

just finished reading
your pm with series finale review

(now taking a deep breath)

i feel the depth of disappointment
you have experienced
in this final episode.

your written descriptions
allowed me to quite amazingly
see this episode with your eyes
and to some extent
feel your disappointment.

your postings have at times
entertained
enlightened
urged me to healthy debate
sometimes said my thoughts exactly
and more...

now

your post on this finale
has allowed me the honor
of viewing an opinion
that is not mine
with such detail and emotion
to make me feel as if,
momentarily,
i am of two minds on the subject.

thank you for this experience, yanks.
i can now see clearly how this could
disappoint and to what extent
and
feel the depth of disappointment.

since i feel free to decide
about pt.1 and pt.2
for myself
as justifyable and appealing to me,
i must encourage you
to frackin make your mind
forget that last episode
ever existed.
use the MIB flash memory eraser
if you can get your hands on one.
i can't see any worth for you
in remembering this episode
ever existed.

make it so.

thanks, yanks

I wish I could erase much of what was in TATV, but, alas, I can't.

Doctor Who came back in 2005. Captain Jack first appeared in Episodes 8 to 13 of the first series. when Christorpher Eccleston was the Doctor.

He next appeared in Torchwood Series One.

Jack then encountered the Tenth Doctor (David Tennant) in the last three episodes of S3, and then returned to S2 of Torchwood.

Then in 2008, there was a crossover episode of Doctor Who in which the Torchwood Cardiff team appeared alongside the Doctor (this made up the finale of S4 of Doctor Who).

Then it was onto the five part mini-series that made up S3 of Torchwood, the brilliant Torchwood: Children of Earth.

The Tenth Doctor saw Jack in his last episode for one brief scene in David Tennant's last episode as the Doctor a few months ago.

That was the last time we saw Jack. We probably won't see him again til Torchwood S4, which won't ait til summer 2011.

I hope this timeline of Captain Jack wasn't too confusing! :D

Very emotionally-wrenching 5-parter! And VERY well-done. Will be hard to top...

That was an excellent Captain Jack Harkness summary, Sonny. :)

I heard he got himself a new agent. Maybe that will help.
Considering that his past few roles were bad guys that usually died, probably. :eyesroll:
