Hey, first time posting so I don't know who actually reads these. But I was wondering if it is possible that maybe someday Paramount will release Next Generation and Deep Space Nine in Widescreen on Blu-ray. I have a widescreen TV so it goes without saying that it would be awesome to watch these shows in widescreen!

Also I remember watching Next Generation and Deep Space Nine in widescreen on Sci-Fi Channel, SpikeTV, and TVland networks on cable. So I know that they can format the Blu-Ray discs to be widescreen if Paramount wants to. The thing is how do I get anyone at Paramount to listen?

Just had another thought on my own post. There could be a function on the Blu-Rays (for Next Gen. and DS9) that would enable the viewer to choose either widescreen or pan-scan or whatever. Just like you can choose to watch the original Trek episodes on the Blu-Ray or watch the Remastered versions. It would really be nice to view them widescreen, heck I don't even mind if they are a hundred dollars per season or more, it would just be nice to see them one more time before I die. Star Trek was the only good time in my life, the only good memories I have.

Anything is possible, but I doubt it. There doesn't seem to be much demand for widescreen adaptations of TNG and DS9.

By the way, Paramount no longer manages the rights to the Star Trek television shows.
