I was wondering if there was anything planned after Enterprise. Does anyone know? I was talking about this topic with my girlfriend and we think that a series involving time timeship Einstein would be a good idea.

I like to see a new series that takes place in 2387 after the events of Romulus. What will become of the Romulans? Will new empires emerge?

The next series needs to be epic with the usual Trek content but a good background plot like the dominion war in DS9, the fed romulan or fed klingon war would be interesting or maybe a new race to fight like the Husnock.

Either way we are well past the days that standard trek episodes can get the job done as far as entertaining and gaining viewers is concerned.

The choices are endless........

Post-Archer Enterprise NCC-01?
Captain Robert April?
Twenty-something Captain Christopher Pike?
Captain Harriman and the B?
Captain Garrett and the C?
Enterprise J and the war with the Sphere Builders?

Or jump so far in the future and do the Enterprise NCC-1701-Z .........the last ship to named Enterprise. EVER.

The Captain Garrett series with the C would end with the the C picking up the distress call from the Klingons at Nerendra III.  The last scene would be the C warping off to her fate.

it could either capitalize on the success of the new star trek film or if it's based on the old trek (berman trek) then it will have to be something we've never seen before.

How about another Starfleet ship (not Enterprise) with its own adventures, but it doesn't have to be a new time period, but instead could be set during the same time period as TOS with occasional references (and voice communications) to Enterprise, Kirk, Spock, etc.? Or, it could be set during the same time period as TNG/DS9. Or, it could be set during the same time period as Voyager while they were away in the Delta Quadrant.

I'm thinking of a ressurection of DS9, but it would be like a hybrid series (sort of like DS9 season 8, but not quite); DS9 is the backdrop with half of the original cast, the other half is new blood; new characters, I've spent 4 years doing just that; creating such a series. Anyway, I think the problem is each new series started somewhere else in the Star Trek universe. That worked for the 5 Star Trek series, but I think it's time to consolidate... Hence my hybrid series idea; old and new combined, with a template (i.e. general style: either starship or space station or another format?) that has been done before.

I think any new series could work if they got quality writers and stories.  If they could take the character development, good stories, action and conflict they had in DS9 and put it on a ship, I think it could be very successful.  Quite honestly, these days people want to see awesome CGI and stuff blowing up on science fiction, not exploring annomalies and battling computer errors (sorry Gene Roddenberry).  If they brought in Ron Moore and Ira Steven Behr and gave them full control and network support, they could produce an amazing series.

I think they should do something about one of the NX ships(maybe Columbia?) with an Enterprise officer as the captain. AND Trip faking his death like in the books. AND The Romulan War. That's the only way to fix TATV.

Agree with you there; Gene Roddenberry created Star Trek, but guys like Rick Berman and Ira Steven Behr have greatly improved it.

They should make a new series with a 3-way conflict or something... I think it'll be cooler than two way. And make it in the 25/26th cantury, then they can make up whatever they want and don't have to refer to previous shows too much.
