In 'In Purgatory's Shadow' Jadzia says "The O'Briens baby is less than a month old". According to Bashir and later in 'By Inferno's Light', O'Brien, Bashir was in the Dominion camp for MORE than a month.

Soooo...in 'The Begotten' and 'For the Uniform', were we actually seeing the Changeling? It would certainly seem so, unless Bashir or Dax were calculating the time incorrectly. So was Changeling Bashir present at the birth of Yoshi?

Yeah, Id prefer to think that Dax was a little off, and perhaps the Changeling didn't take his place until 'For the Uniform'. He was attending a conference, and would Julian attend a conference so soon before Kira was due to give birth? He wouldn't want to miss that, he would have waited until afterwards.

Hard to tell, but with the whole Dominion story arc, the writers really were making it up as they go along. So certain technical details, dates and so forth are bound to have a few small inaccuracies.

In For the Uniform, Julian was not present at all. So that's a no.

However, in the Begotten, likely so -- yeah. It's a little unclear at what point he is actually captured, but certain details would seem to suggest that the changeling-Bashir has been on the station even as early as Rapture. Creepier... perhaps?

One of these details being (I thought this was quite cleverly done) he wears an old blue-shoulder starfleet uniform in the camp, when the new First Contact type uniforms were introduced quite some time ago.

I didnt think theres was any question on that.

When the "REAL" Julian is returned he's wearing the older uniform, with the department color on the shoulders.

To me that would indicate that every time we saw Julian in the newer uniform, before he was returned ,it must have been the changeling.

I would think the last time we saw the real Julian, before he was returned, was in "Let He Who Is Without Sin..."

Because he was in the Dominion prison.

The way I see it, we got 6 episodes of fake Julian.

When JULIAN got back, he must have thought "When did we get the new suits?"

Interesting that the changelings cannot only assume someone else's form but also their memory and abilities to the point that they can complete complex surgery and safely deliver babies. I wonder if the changelings new about Julian's genetic engineering?

lol......

If that was a joke please forgive me........but I see no indication of that changalings can mimic a persons memory and abilities.

But its pretty obvious that the shapeshifters that are selected for infiltration missions are going to be of the highest calibure.

They are going to studdy every avalible bit of info on the subject they are replacing.

Julians genetic engineering staus may not have been known but the fact that he was a superb DR was, so any shapeshifter would have been taught everything he/she needed to know.

I would think the last time we saw the real Julian, before he was returned, was in "Let He Who Is Without Sin..."

which means he performed brain surgery on Sisko.
