Really?? Is it really worse than "Gigli" "Alien vs. Predator Requiem" "Basic Instinct 2" "Ishtar" "9 1/2 Ninjas" "Cyborg" ???? I quote the great Mike Metcalf (call sign VIPER) from the immortal motion picture epic "Top Gun": You got to let it go, son. You got to let it go.

Sorry but I liked Generations, while it's not my favorite Trek movie it's IMHO much better than STV TFF & TNG Insurrection.

Totally agree with that! The first part of TFF was good, but as soon as the camping trip was over so was the movie IMO. Generations was weak but other than that annoying recycled War bird explosion from Trek 6 and the fact that no one took the time to at least say warp core ejection systems were off line I can at least tolerate the movie. Insurrection just sucked from start to finish, not to mention it was such a wasted opportunity, they could have done a Dominion war movie with maybe a DS9 cross over.

Another reason I liked Generations is because I am a huge fan of the Excelsior Class Starship. STIII & STVI as well as Generations give me my Excelsior fix, and we finally get to see a little history on the Enterprise-B. Don't get me started about the Enterprise B's Captain though.

Yeah Harriman is featured in a new Trek comic that just came out a few weeks back. I have always been interested in how everyone would react back in the 23rd century (especially towards Harriman) after they thought Kirk was dead. The comic goes into that a bit, I just wrote review on it over on the books and product MB. Edit: Yeah I'm also a fan of that class of ship

I have to disagree that Generations is the worst ever. I think Final Frontier is a worse Star Trek movie. And there are plenty of movies outside the Star Trek realm that are way worse.

There are a couple other things about TFF that I find to be quite good: 1. The entire scene in the observation lounge is classic Trek, from Sybok's speech about the "fear of the unknown" to Kirk's ultimate "I need my pain" speech and declaring to Sybok "you ARE mad." This was a very well-executed sequence, and one of my all-time favorite between the "big three." 2. The build up and approach to Sha Ka Ree through the Great Barrier, while not well-served by the FX, was also classic Trek. It had that TRUE "going where no man has gone before" sense of wonder that initially hooked me on Trek. Flawed movie? Yes. Worst? Nah...not in my book. Just the presence of these two elements alone lifts it far above INS in my opinion.

Didn't you post a thread here some time back about why you didn't like generations?
Not going a little overboard, are you?
Anyway, NOTHING is worse than "Plan 9 From Outer Space."

You haven't seen "Brother From Another Planet", have you? Or "Spacehunter: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone"?

Ali88 please, for the sake of all things, please stop revisiting your dislike for Generations over and over again. Putting a new twist on it isn't saying anything new here. If you don't like the movie, the best thing to do is IGNORE IT COMPLETELY!!!!! I don't particularly care for it myself, it is a weak movie...it's barely a movie...but it was made and there's nothing that's going to change that. If you must waste your time and make a YouTube Video of a revue, attach it to one of your pre-esisting threads on the subject.

ok I will and I know I might be too harsh and I'm sorry if it annoys you I'll be positive about the movie I liked the score, I like generations for the memories it brings the acting, the special effects, the action, the directing were all good, there were some good lines in the movie like when picard and soran talk about time and mortality, the movie was made well technically but the story and the script were disasters IMO I just found so many problems with the movie that I feel I need to explain them all so everyone can see them for themselves, I'm not doing this just to annoy fans or for the sake of bashing generations, I just thought the movie was just filled with A LOT of problems
