I think she did not know about the consequences. Many people post things on the internet they should not.

I can understand her griping and she has a valid point. Where she erred is in naming the place of business where she had this experience. If not for that, she would probably have had no problem.

I can see why she'd complain if she was delayed for a full hour leaving work :logical:

I posted a complaint about my workplace on a medicolegal website, and I got a call from the local police department in my area asking if that posting was mine. ¿I was floored!

Klingon IA is watching you...LOL!

I'd say it's wrong, it's a conversation. Who knows how many times somebody told someone about there work day, mentioned the place they work and how much it sucks, it happens, for God sake. You have a bad day, so what, you post, so what, I could tell tons of friends about my job, but it wouldn't get me fired, but posting will. Hypocrites.  They(the business) should acknowledge what the customer did(as it was wrong), you have your own life outside of work.

She shouldn't have mentioned the restaurant by name, though I also disagree with it's policy. If you have a good restaurant, there's no need to worry about people casting it in a poor light.

It was also a company policy.  People should know by now that facebook posts get people fired.  It's been going on long enough.

Eff policies that dictate what you can and cannot say in your free time, on a medium totally separate from your place of employment.

I agree with that. Your statements in no way contradict what I said. I'd say they're compatible.
