Janeway had more on her plate. ?Starting out with a crew that's a third maquis. ? Having to be a community leader as well as a captain. ?Plus having to fight off hostile aliens without the federation to fall back on.

actually her maquis crewmen were former starfleet officers so they got the skills just lack some of the discipline. community leader, she seemed unapproachable a lot of times. All I saw was a crazy captain that stranded her crew in the delta quadrant. :) She was fighting 3rd rate aliens like the kazon or hirogen and getting pretty roughed up at times okay she really needed the federation to back her up.

sisko never died because he didn't even get enough screen time. Odo was more of a star than sisko was in ds9.

Huh? Have you watched DS9, tribblenator?

Ha. Sisko did indeed die and become one with the prophets ... in "What You Leave Behind." And he was certainly more popular and received much more screen time than Odo.

(Of course, maybe you were joking...? Hard to tell.)

Anyway, just fyi.

Personally, I believe Archer was probably the "overachiever" in this group, as he had the most to prove.

But please don't think I'm equating "overachiever" with "best."

All eras its obviously Kirk, but thats a little unfair.

New era:

For exploration (and victimising harry kim) its got to be janeway.

For upholding Federation ideals its Picard.

For kicking ass its Sisko (the dude punched a omnipotent being).

Archer gets the prize for lighting the torch and paving the way, while trying to compete with the future.

well if that's the way you see it. Let me ask you this. He went to join the prophets. Aren't prophets gods? didn't sisko basically become a god?

I was joking if you read the episode synopsis you see odo mentioned quite a number of times.

Kirk. Save the Federation numerous times over, defeated many enemies in battle, outmaneuvering ambassadors and outsmarting alien AI / machines. Fought Starfleet to get his command back and defied Starfleet to save a friend and fellow officer.

This sounds about right to me.

who's the over achieving captain in your opinion. ¿

Archer who founded the federation?
Kirk who saved the universe?
Picard who...got assimilated and killed Kirk?
Sisko who stopped the dominion?
Janeway who...travelled the delta quadrant?

you decide?

And proud we are of all of them.

Sisko was a commander who became a captain who became the emissary for the prophets and is now a transcended prophet. How's that for overacheiving.

Janeway. She refused Q's help many times just so they could get home themselves. I'm sure the dead crew members are thrilled with that decision.
