MAN, it seems like that should go without saying, even for newbiest newb! What kind of Control Freak has to step in and ruin everyone's fun? If the humor isn't hurting anyone--let's face it, some of the cleverest stuff does tend to be of "questionable" content, but you don't have to read it. Nach I tried to nail you while I was in Louisville for a few months.
It's not my fault that you can't drink that much.
I do want to say a huge thank you to Klaat. Even after I told him repeatedly not to send me anything, he sent an autographed by Casey Biggs, sealed, Damar card.
And it arrived on a day I really needed it.
Over the years, I have met , and exchanged gifts with so many great people here. From our comics on DVD exchange, to the first thing I ever recieved from Trekwolf, a Cardassian insignia, and then he kept sending me so much other stuff, I felt guilty! To QdonQ sending me a t-shirt that I love from the Trek convention in Vegas, to Dyslexus of Brog (anyone heard from him? My contact info was in my old account) for helping to continue our comic book club, to Jadzia22 creating and drawing two pictures for my son.
Point being, it is a great big wonderful world out there. Sometimes the first step to trust must be taken by you. And no, shoes, are not required.

As has been metioned before, one of the gifts Heather and i received, that just came out of nowhere was from the Mighty Hercules, you know him as Nthdrone.
Our resident dentist.
Whatever happened to that thread were we are all stuck an an abanded island, and who would do what? That was pretty fun.
Kai sent us Star Trek books.
Good god, we sound like welfare, so cut it out!!
Honestly, thanks to all of you. We have a wonderful community, and lets keep it that way.

It's not welfare... When you give somebody a gift, you don't expect anything in return. If you do, then it's not truly a gift. It's important to sometimes take a moment to appreciate people that have left an impression on you during your travels through life. The best way sometimes to thank someone for being thoughtful is to in turn do something thoughtful for someone else, when you have the opportunity to do so. |

Now THERE's the spirit of which I know this community to be capable!  I was getting a bit tired of all those folks saying these Boards were going down the toilet and deservedly so...Kind of a cold slap in the face to those of us who have made genuine buddies here and continue to enjoy that, and will come back even if the Boards as we know them are utterly destroyed in the name of the imminent progress. If my buds come back, I won't have "lost" anything at all. |
