I am sorry if this has been posted, but I did not find it on this forum shockingly.  About two days ago, a Youtube video was posted on the Stardestroyer.net forums in the Star Trek section of a video with J.J. Abrams talking about bringing in LeVar Burton into the sequel.  LeVar Burton was been against the idea of Star Trek to keep producing new shows and movies, telling Rick Berm to 'stop breathing life into a dead animal'.  LeVar directed a few Star Trek Enterprise episodes and has since been against Star Trek XI.

I am sorry for the quality of the video, you might need to turn the volume up a bit.

What are your thoughts?

I think they need to stay away from the original Star Trek, unless LeVar Burton is somehow going to restore the timeline or whatever the case may be, this has to stop.  We have our Star Trek and J.J. can have his.  To me, Captain Kirk William Shatner has nothing to do with Captain Kirk Chris Pine.

What would be the point of that. With out the nerds Star Trek would not have brought so much cash in to so many people for so long. Star Trek will not be here in 40 years without the nerds.

When I click the link, it takes me to the music video for "Never Gonna Give You Up" and I can't find any info on this topic otherwise. Was this whole thread just a joke?

Oh, woops!  I was listening to that song and forgot to C/P the link.  Thanks for pointing it out, JCK.  I was wondering what was going on with the Muppets and stuff.

I choose to interpret this thread as a tribute to Trekker's fierce devotion to the continuation of Star Trek's legacy.

*sniff* I'm never gonna give you up, Trek!
