Most Moving Moment in Enterprise

I said the Archer/T'Pol hug, but I really meant this moment. Archer's off to consummate his life's work by launching
the Federation--and by extension, ALL the other Trek we've ever seen--but his entire personal focus is no doubt on
the cost, the loss of his best friend.

I thought that nearly unfathomable disconnect between private sorrow and public triumph was breath-takingly poignant,
and an excellent microcosm of the experience of Star Trek and how it touches us: sweeping, yet personal.

--But in another mood I would certainly choose Tucker and T'Pol grieving the loss of Elizabeth. That, too, was not without a certain symbolism: the child they never meant to create, but took into their hearts--much the way inter-species relations when they work--the WAY they work--is through a generous extension of understanding and forgiveness, the benefit of the doubt, an abundance of goodwill just a little bit beyond that which is warranted. The ability to seek out and make your own that which is similar in utter aliens. To make the absolute best out of what may have begun with terrible conflict.

Agree G. I had not made that connection. I think he was hugging T'Pol because he knew that he wouldn't be where he was without her.

Most certainly that sentiment was in that hug! :)

The Elizabeth Jr. moment. Especially since I just saw a Voyager episode about P/T's child where her and B'Elanna almost died.

grigori, your post is very moving. It might have taken me years to discover this moment with this picture and this awareness. With your permission, I would like to forward this to another citizen of the StarTrek universe who will surely be as moved as I.

thanks muchly! :) of course you can scam it!

I have a long-cultivated rep for literary analysis--finding the symbolism and parallels and mood echoes and moral lessons in the slightest of art forms...

I believe it began with Scooby Doo cartoons. :D

I'd have to go with The Forgotten, the scene between Trip and T'Pol is just so deep.

I knew from the moment they put a beagle on board that these ENT folks were gonna go for tear-jerker from time to time... :D

Yanks! Why do you have to make such a hard poll? Too difficult. I voted for Trip/Terra Prime/Kinda comforting. I love Trip.

I voted Trip/T'Pol "kinda comforting."  That's where I feel like things kind of came full circle.  She wouldn't shake his hand in "Broken Bow"...and here, she takes it to comfort him and to be comforted herself.

i was kinda moved seeing deanna troi and riker in 2370 looking so run down, different color uniforms, different color skin, different weight, hair styles etc.. in that final episode compared to the Pegasus episode in 2370 during the same time. ¿Anyone else notice that?

maybe a faction from the temporal cold war traveled back in time and released an airborne toxin aboard the enterprise? ¿who knows, but they never explained who or what was causing that

Holodeck radiation!

OK, I made up my mind. I'm probably the only one that will pick this one but I chose the scene from my favorite episode Carbon Creek. Most of you have seen my review and may understand why this episode resonates so strongly with me. When she pulled out that purse, .... whew.

you are not alone my friend.

I just watched Carbon Creek last night and ¿once again I was reminded that this episode is IMO trek binging its "A" game. The entire episode is rock solid, everything from the story itself right on down to the performances of the guest stars.

One other part that i found to be right up there with the purse; the entire scene when T'Mir found out that Jack was not going to be going to college right up through when Maggie finds all of the cash in the tip jar. That may have been, for me anyway, equal in emotional value to the scene with T'Pol and the purse.

When Portho's "Watered" that tree and Archer had to say "I'm Sorry".
