A bridge copied from one in Britain and a building designed by a European?

Actually the SHB design originates from the US, so you are as right about that as you are of anything.

The SOH is an engineering marvel.

Hmm, yes, I guess I was slightly inaccurate, for once. Make a note of the date and time, it is a collectors item.

Clearly, what I meant to say was that the Sydney Harbour Bridge was designed and built by a British firm inspired by an existing American structure. This same firm were also building a bridge of similar design in Britain at that time.

John Bradfield was Australian not English.

I think you are devaluing that collectors item quite rapidly.

The Australian, John Bradfield was chief engineer and set the initial design brief for the structure. The British firm Dorman Long and Co. Ltd. won the contract to do the detailed design and to build the bridge. Englishman, Sir Ralph Freeman did the detailed design work for the bridge.

Incidentally, I now won't be coming to you for advice on the value of stocks and shares.

Your name is very apt, you are indeed a corn-monkey.

You make me laugh.
