I am a very young fan. I was not alive for the majority of the series runs so I try to catch up by buying the DVDs and watching re-runs. I want to see all the episodes before reading the books but I have purchased some recently. About a year ago I got my first Star Trek book, it is a TOS book called, "Spock Must Die!". I quite enjoyed it, and got it for about $1, so I was happy. After that I read a TNG book, number 34 or something, named "The Last Stand" - I really enjoyed that. Then I read another book, one based around Kirk at the academy when he was a professor and he taught a Gary Mitchell and how their friendship began, it is called "My Brothers Keeper". I had recently seen TOS Season 1, so I liked reading a book that relaed to it.

I think when i was in Middle School (or Junior High if you prefer) I was reading the Star Trek Starfleet Academy Books. I think the first one i read was about Janeway but i can't... no wait it was about Kirk and Spock i think it might have been the third in the series... such great books wish i still had em.

My first Star Trek novel was Enterprise: The First Adventure followed by The Lost Years. I wanted to know about the beginning and end of their five-year mission. That was nearly 20 years ago and I have been hooked on ST novels ever since.

The 1st book I ever read was the TNG Ghost Ship. It was okay, but not as good as others I've read.

My first Star Trek book was Collision Course. It was actually quite good.

"Captain, life is not a dream." - Spock "Can you please continue the petty bickering? I find it quite intriguing." - Data

Just recieved TNG 1-10 yesterday, half way through "Ghost Ship" already. My limited knowledge of st's literature means I have little experience with it. Everyone I've talked to on here doesn't think much of the early TNG books, but I'm quite enjoying it.

Wow - I haven't read any of those early ones for years.
