I want to see YOU in the new movie as Saavik. Or, maybe your mom if you're too busy.

Think you can arrange that?

Jackass.

Ignore, report, and walk away, Vger...

:logical:

True enough. I should know better.

Sorry...it was just pretty disrespectful.

Agreed, but don't want to see anyone get caught up in the recent enforcement operation going on.

What is so disrespectful? My comments about public figures, or the part where I'm called a jack a**? Sorry to have offended you both with my outrageous comment. I still think Kirstie Alley in XII as Savik is an idea worth considering.

Wrong time period.

And there's two a's in Saavik.

:logical:

How about time travel and or the alternate universe cliche so often employed in Trek plots? This could also explain the alternate spelling of her name.

I thought that Character was in Star Wars and Leia killed it in ROTJ (best SW of them all).

Who wants to see Kirstie Alley, as Savik in Trek XII?

Get her back into the body and looks she had when she first did the role, and I'm in.
Otherwise, hell no.

Why does this post look as if a few pages are missing?

And no I don't want to see Cheers lady in any trek movie playing good old Sav, unless she losses a ton of weight first.

That and she didn't do Trek 3 & 4 since she was a huge star by that point, so I'd actually rather see the girl who took over the role come back.

That's if they would ever use that character again and in a time period that suits her current age and look.

I loved Kirstie Alley as Saavik, I didn't care for her replacement. I liked that actress better in the TNG episode "Gambit."

I would have liked to see her reprise the role back then but not now and I doubt that would ever be a possibility for all concerned.

they can use a time loop to prevent the black hole and save Vulcan, only to have Kirstie eat the planet in two bites.

Portions were redacted for being offensive. I was warned for my indiscretion. I'm a bad boy. Be careful what you say about Kirstie.

I HATED Kirstie Alley in TWOK. She seemed uncomfortable with the role the WHOLE time. the new girl seemed much more natural with the role and I was glad to see her in TSFS and TVH.

Well since Trek 12 will most likely take place within 3 years of 2258 or sooner I am going to say that Kirstie Alley and Saavik are out of the picture. I am not even sure Saavik was born in 2261 or before. I don't think there is a canon birthdate for her is there?

Sorry fooled but this myth is gonna be busted metaphorically speaking. We would have a better chance of seeing Borg or Wesley Crusher than seeing Saavik.

Yes I agree Robin Curtis made a better Saavik. Usually the big name actors can't hold their own in Trek. That's why Trek usually hires b listers or actors that have theatrical experience to play it's parts.

I can think of very few A List actors that play convincing Trek characters. Whoopi Goldberg comes to mind as the best A lister in Trek.

Wow, now I loved Kirstie Alley and hated Robin Curtis.

I wasn't too impressed with Kim Cattrall either. But Christopher Plummer would be considered A list, right? He was awesome...so was David Warner.

I haven't seen any of Whoopi Goldberg's episodes yet, but I'm looking forward to that.
