Ridley Scott's Alien prequel will be shot in 3D*sigh* In related news, Alice Braga, who stars in this summers Predators reboot, has said that while she hopes the film will be rated R in the US, she suspects they are in fact aiming for a PG-13 rating. *sigh* I know people hate the mere mention of AVP: Requeim, but at least it was violent.

Most new films will be shot in 3D, huge amounts of money is being ploughed into creating a 3D "infastructure" which will eventually lead to 3D TV's without the need for glasses.

I just get so bored at 3D movies. I just don't connect with the story. The only 3D movie that I actually liked in 3D was Toy Story 2, but that's a brilliant movie anyway. And parts of it worked brillantly in 3D, like the Conveyer Belt finale.

I don't hate AVPR but when you watch the brilliance of Alien and Aliens you appreciate how far the series has fallen. Predator by contrast was always a dumb guns and muscles franchise

I have probably one of the stupidest questions anyone has heard in quite some time. So 3D........ I saw an ad the other day for some movie can't remember what it was but it said it was in 3D and then it said also in 2D. A lot of movies are being all hyped up because they're in 3D but I'd never heard any of them advertise as also in 2D. So am I to believe that if they don't specify also in 2D that It'll only be in 3D?

Was it Final Destination 3D? When they are advertising a movie that everyone knows is 3D (eg. if said in the trailer) they'll also now say that it's available in 2D, for the simple reason that there's still a hell of a lot of people don't like 3D movies, or won't wear the glasses. It also lets people know that if they want to see the movie in 3D, to check that their local cinema is showing the proper format.

I generally wish the 3d thing would blow over already.
However an Alien film in 3d makes perfect sense. Generally horror or sci-fi horror would make the 3D an actual new and compelling device.
Otherwise I'd probably just stick to my boring old 2D, which is a lot nicer on the eyes.
p.s. I like the AVP movies and I like the Predator films. Seriously, Predator 2 is your idea of muscle and gones? A movie starring Danny Glover and Garey Busey? What?

That's a good point Somerled.
Dear Hollywood,
What's the deal with you trying to earn money? That's so weird. I don't understand. You've never acted like this before.
sincerely,
confused movie-goer
