TNG would have been better if not for some of the more obnoxious characters-Troi, Riker, Young Crusher, etc.

OMG you are sooo right...

You must have been thinking how awesome Riker is, and accidentally included his name into you obnoxious "list" because he was on your mind.

Don't worry, it happens. ¿I edited it out for you.

Could not stand all 3 of them...

TNG was my second favorite.  It was really the last time when I couldn't wait to watch a new episode each week and had the kind of excitement that TOS had for me.  DS9 was good too, but things kinda went down hill from there.

TNG really screwed the pooch with Troi and Wezzly. Actually met Jonathan Frakes one time, nice, personable guy, so I can't hate Riker, probably wouldn't anyway. Data annoyed a bit 'cause he reminded me of a junior-varsity Spock minus the gravitas. But he got better as the series progressed, IMHO...

For me, being born in 1970, I cut my teeth on the original series, so the original is my favorite. But as to my second pick, I would have to say that Enterprise would be my pick. in my own personal opinion, Enterprise to me re-captured that spirit that is Trek. Enterprise, much like the orginal series, dove deep into character relations, back stories and the like. Enterprise for me re-captured the subtle humor to be found as the characters interacted with each other. One example, the relationship between Captain Archer and Commander "Trip" Tucker, to me that felt very much like the relationship between Captain Kirk and Commander "Miracle Worker" Scott. I feel that Enterprise re-captured Gene's original idea for Star Trek.

Third pick, behind the original series and Enterprise would have to be Star Trek Voyager, kind of a spirit re-capture, but a little too monocle! Behind Voyager, I would have to pick Star Trek Deep Space 9, that show to me was as exciting as watching molasses slowly dripping from a tree during a January cold snap, slow dripping!

I think that covers it....

Even though TNG was my generation's Star Trek, I grew up on Kirk & Spock. TNG for #2.

Same situation with me, but DS9 narrowly beats out TNG for me.

"Enterprise" is my second favorite "Star Trek" series. "TNG" is my all time favorite "Star Trek" series.
