the same shatner canon where kirk is married to a klingon/romulan woman, hates the fact he was in starfleet, and worst of all got talked down to by janeway.

You don't really believe that he actually writes any of those books bearing his name do you?   I saw him on a talk show once where he was promoting his latest book.

He was taken aback, when the host who had apparently read the book (something they rarely do), questioned him about some of the plot points.  Unable to answer any of the queries, he finally blurted out "Hey I wrote the book, I never said I read it!"

No, I have the novel and know that he has other writers to the heavy lifting when it comes to writing the book. I am having fun with canon.
