It's obvious to everyone that they have had the DS9 and Voy movies on hold but how many JJ films will we have to endure before we see the amazing 1st DS9 film?
Will they have seperate DS9 and Voy franchises or blend them?
Will TNG characters be included such as Picardo, Riker, Troi and La Fledge?

Voyager concluded its story line as did DS9. Also a major motion picture needs to bring in non-fans of the genre in order to be financially successful and those shows are not that popular outside of its fan base so in the eyes of the studio those shows are not marketable as motion pictures.

Wont happen because most of the general movie going audience has never heard of those series and you need them for a Trek movie to succeed just like the last movie did. Most people think Trek ended when TNG did. Also you are new here and you might want to use the seach feature before posting threads as this topic has been discussed before. |

VOY and DS9 movies are not "on hold" at all. There was never ever any development on them and there are no indications at all that there ever will be.

There have never been nor are there likely to ever be any plans for movies involving DS9 or Voyager, or Enterprise for that matter.
Aside from the nu-TOS movies from Paramount, the only next likely project will be whatever new TV series CBS eventually decides to do.

But recently Janeway said she'd "luurrrrrvvveee' to do a Voyager movie and encourages everyone to believe it is being developed, but she said she has heard that many people believe DS9 is better so naturally, that will become a movie first. So like I asked before, when do you think they will be green lighted since they are on hold now? I doubt Janeway would want to do one and the studio not be interested!!! rofl |

Mulgrew also said that Voyager was just as popular as TNG and she was wrong on that. Alot of Trek fans didn't like Voyager. Trek ratings started taking a dive during DS9 and alot during Voyager and really dipped during Enterprise. |

people can discuss any old thing they want to and don't have to dredge up some two year old zombie thread to do it. besides with the resets of the last couple of years, you can't find any of the old threads anyway. the last time i checked this was still a free country, but Congress hasn't gaveled out of this session yet so don't count on it lasting. |
