You didn't mention Monty Python...finest British comedy ever IMO.

An oversight .... been a while since I saw any Monty Python and my wife simply can't stand them so I have to watch them without her being present ....

They are known for their drama. :p

Who are? Monty Python?

I think they manage a good mix between drama and comedy. The Life of Brian is regularly voted the best comedy film of all time in the UK.

I can't believe someone has never heard of Monti Python ...

Heck they were and it seems are again becoming so popular that they have a cult following .... The Life of Brian was hilarius .... "aways look on the bright side of life ... uh hum uh hum ah hum ...."

You don't read people's responses very carefully do you.

I was the person who originally mentioned Monty Python...as well as commenting on The Life of Brian in the post you quoted (so obviously I've heard of them).

My comment was to Goodchild who had said "They are known for their drama" and my response was "Who are? Monty Python? "

...meaning 'who are known for their drama? Are you referring to Monty Python'

Only Fools and Horses
The Inbetweeners
All those wonderful panel shows (TV and radio)
Keeping Up Appearances
Last of the Summer Wine

How could I forget Keeping Up Appearances ?

My mum has put her order in for me to torrent the set of series.

Another I can't believe I forgot is Dad's Army ....

Why don't you buy it? Then the money can go back to the cash-strapped BBC who can use it to make new shows.

Are any of you familiar with Alan Partridge? I'm not sure if he made it overseas or not, but I think he's hilarious!

I always wondered if he was gay? Kenny Everett was equally saucy and he was gay, Freddy Mercuary amongst his lovers. Always got the impression he was trying too hard. And he's in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Italian Job
