I wouldn't LIVE there or regard the charachters as REAL.

But I would spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME in there...

Its probably good I don't own one.

Does Holideck food Nurish you?

Or does it disapear when you leave the Holo grid?

hm...

That's a good question. IIRC, characters have consumed food and drink, so I would say yes. Besides, how would a hologram of food be projected on the inside of your stomach? And even if the answer was no, it wouldn't be hard to incorporate a replicator.

If you lived in the 24th century- do you think you would be addicted to the holodeck if you had access to one?

Oh god yes.

In fact, that's all you'd hear from out side the holodeck.

We all know that's what the holodeck would really be used for. :logical:

That's not a bad idea...if you wanted to get really crazy, run a simulation of Parris Island, or the Navy SEALS "Hell Week." Or for you sports people you can run a simulation of Spring Training.

Other kinds of training would be cool...sign language sims in a setting where the holograms simulate deaf people. Boy Scouts of America for outdoorsy stuff would be kind of neat too. And they've already established holopartners for martial arts as well as full blown combat sims complete with Skeletor. Personally I'd like to train with some of the top UFC & Pride fighters.

I would love having a holodeck! That would be the greatest thing. Of course, I would probably turn into the next Reginald Barkley. :O

I'M sure you would!
like Reginald you will recreate the ship and his crew, but not Voyager, you'll choose Enterprise right?

As Riker would say, I think I could come up with a few interesting ideas.

was cool in relic's when scotty's was on the org bridge heard it was one of the chair's from first show.

The original Captain's chair is owned by Paul Allen (of Microsoft fame) and is currently part of the Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame. The chair featured in the episode is a fan-made replica as was the center console. Set designers from the show made the rest.

I would have a holodeck version of Seven of Nine and Deanna Troi to take care of my special needs.

And have a Star Wars simulation on the holodeck.
