I think I'd be really addicted at first. Probably play with cats that I've had.

You have the whole virtual universe at your disposal and you'd play with cats? :D

Lol yeah. See, I just had to put one of mine to sleep this month, so at the moment I probably would. But after that I'd probably like to visit lots of different places.

Dude, I would ROLL AROUND in cats. And swim in gold coins like Scrooge McDuck.

I'm not sure there would be a reason that I would leave the holodeck....  Between Quark's Vulcan Love Slave programs, the battle simulator, replaying of old baseball games....  gosh - I'd just bunk out in there....  FOREVER.

American Idol. And Survivor. Add to the mix American Gladiators, Ninja Warrior, MXC, and Unbeatable Banzuke.

:bored:  :D  :p

I'd make love to the great romantic poets.

well it depends, you put me a 21st Century Guy I'm sure I would be in there a lot because it would be like a  real life video game.  Not too mention the fact the computer could virtually re-enact any time you wanted to see, and even change the ending.

I can imagine being excited by it...but the ego-trip effect would get to me after a while, it would get too insular and predictable. I'd want to get out and be surprised by something real. I think the biggest draw would be the chance to recreate past environments, like Greek or Roman cities or other places that no longer exist. Any recreation of historical events would still contain a degree of fantasy and speculation, but the places could be made to actual blueprints.

It would be a great tool for archaeologists.

But the fantasy part of it would grow old really quick. After a while I'd realize it's not really Audrey Hepburn, just a simulation.

As far as I'm concerned, I don't think the fantasy part would ever grow old. Ever. There's so so much you could do with a holodeck. I'd probably loose myself in it.

It would be virtually an unlimited simulation chamber, you could go anywhere you want.  It would be like a time machine for me, I doubt I could ever get tired of it.

It's better than that. With the right programming skills and if the holodeck or the characters don't screw up, you can set yourself up as God. Or the Devil.
