Another thing I'd do is recreate and participate in historic events. Jesus, that would be even cooler than getting your degree in science from Albert Einstein. I can't even think of which event I want to do first. I could even take this a step further and make the computer extrapolate what would happen if I changed key events in history. It's the closest thing to a Time Machine ™ I can get. I don't have to deal with pesky Temporal Investigations officers and I'm secure in the fact I won't end up banging my own great-great-grandmother like Bashir almost did. :p :D

Annorax had a simulator in Voyager's "Year of Hell". Chakotay nearly wiped out 50 civilizations by simply erasing a comet from history!   :whatthe:

That would be a cool episode...the crew decides to screw with history in the holodeck, but the malfunction of the week makes it so that one character (someone who is in every version of altered events but who also seems insignificant) remembers all the changes to the "timeline." And then the episode wraps up in one of possible several ways:

A) Hologram tries to take over the ship. Hologram is to be deleted.

B) Holographic rights issues come up and hologram is put back into his proper "timeline".

C) Hologram ends up evolving into a higher form of intelligence or melding with "space-time" complete with some TMP type visuals.

D) All of the above

E) None of the above

That sounds like the Voyger episode "Shattered" where the ship was fragmented in different timezones and Chakotay could jump from one time zone to another and remember everything. Except that it was not in the Holodeck.

Imagine the hobbies you can take up to amuse yourself. Anything from sports to outdoors is now available at your verbal command. You'd even be able to play 18 holes with Tiger Woods, or shoot hoops with Shaq. Maybe do a little sparring with Muhammed Ali, who can show you some moves. And re-creations of famous baseball or football games would be pretty cool.

I would love having a holodeck! That would be the greatest thing. Of course, I would probably turn into the next Reginald Barkley. :O

I'M sure you would!
like Reginald you will recreate the ship and his crew, but not Voyager, you'll choose Enterprise right?

As Riker would say, I think I could come up with a few interesting ideas.

The holodeck would be really fun! You would have to be careful that it doesn't
get in the way of real life.

Real life is not relevant with a holodeck. That's the whole point of it.

I think I'd be really addicted at first. Probably play with cats that I've had.

You have the whole virtual universe at your disposal and you'd play with cats? :D
