Yar. Kirk. Tucker. Data. Sisko.

Yar's death was pointless. Kirk's death was unnecessary. Data... eh. Tucker; I don't even want to get into that.

Has Star Trek ever had any good, well worked out deaths?

the klingons would call it a good death

I forgot the old Klingon proverb: "The one that mind-melds with a God poser to give his hostage friends time to escape shall forever be honored in Stovokor!"

There was the first Q episode of TNG, after Farpoint, when Q tries to tempt Riker with Q Powers.

The animal things run Wesley through with a bayonet.

Riker spoils it by bringing him back to life

I dont think Sisko is really dead.

And the one death that I thought was handeled very well was Sarak, Spocks father.

And Spocks death.

If you want to talk about people not really dead, they can bring kirk back if they wanted to. ¿Seeing that Guinan was still in the nexus at the same time she was also on the enterprise-D ¿because a part of her was still there from when she was pulled in while on the enterprise-B. ¿They could bring kirk back using the same kinda logic.

Guinan's situation is very different from Kirks.

but Guinan was only in the nexus for minutes and kirk was in there for decades. ?Surely there's an echo of him in there too.

Dude your mistaken.

Guinan ¿entered the Nexus a short time before Kirk did.

Remember....she was pulled in when she was rescued by the Enterprise B.

That puts her there just before Kirk got there.

But its not a matter of how long either was in the Nexus that makes their situations different.

Its how they left the Nexus.

Guinan was in the nexus for a few minutes before the enterprise B pulled her out. ¿Kirk was in the nexus between the time he got pulled in on the Enterprise B to when picard got him out.

The "Guian" we see in the Nexus never left.

She is a "part" of the whole.

She described her self as an "echo" but what she really is , is a part of the whole.

Think of her as a full cup of water that has been split in two.

Quote
The way they would bring kirk back is have someone else go in the nexus and then go visit kirk while he was in the nexus just like how guinan visited picard and then take kirk out again.

Thats not how it happaned.

so part of her is in the nexus and part of kirk is not? why's that?

As I said... their situations are different.

Guian was "torn" from the Nexes by a transporter beam.

Which is the most likely cause for part of her remaining within the Nexus.

Kirk walked out of his free will.

Theres a big difference between walking out of heaven and being ripped out by force.

Okay I got caught up on what you're talking about at memory alpha according to Ronald D. Moore anyway. ¿Since few people leave the nexus, not sure how you would confirm that echos are only created with transporter rip outs. ¿It could just be that an echo of guinan is in there and she just happened to be someone that was ripped out with the transporter. ¿With star trek anything is possible so they can just write that there's an echo of him in there anyway.

True, they could write what ever they want.

I just think it would go against what the film "Generations" implied.

Kirk chose to walk out, he broke the "spell" that place had over him.He was no longer happy there.

To me that implies that "ALL" of Kirk walked out.

Guian didnt want to leave, part of her must of rooted itself in the Nexus when she was beamed out.

Weyoun 4 got killed from what seemed to be an impulsive reaction by a jem'hadar for questioning their loyalty. ¿Jem'hadar are supposed to follow the order of things.

Weyoun 5 died in a transporter "accident". ¿They never even bothered to show his death.

Weyoun 6 died to save odo, that one's okay.

Weyoun 7 just got his neck snapped cus he pissed off worf with a comment he made

Weyoun 8 just got shot cus he pissed off garak with a comment he made

I liked Weyoun 7's death best.
