Maybe even for STAR TREK XII?

Besides Burns, other directors outside the box would be good for Trek.

IE: del Toro, Fincher, Allen, Jackson, Mamet, Scorsese, Donner, Hughes entc ent al.

NOOOOO!!

Burns has never ever done a big movie.  He does all those romantic dramadies.

Yeah, I liked She's the One and the one with Bon Jovi and I like Ed Burns the actor, but I've seen nothing to convince me he could do as ST film.

A Tarantino directed Trek flick would highly amuse me actually.  If some fans were Oh Noing now, just wait til he got a hold of it!  And I mean that as a compliment to Tarantino of course.

You know the dialogue would be crackling, he'd just have to reign in the bloody graphic violence.

I'd like to see Ridley Scott have a go :)

Or David Twohy.

Something dark would be cool.

Nope J.J. Abrams did a great job with Trek XI. I hope he directs the sequel.
