- I read your review and agreed with it (for the most part).

- I'm not a bandwgon fan. My favorite Trek film was The Undiscovered Country, a TOS film that I saw about ten years back. That sparked my Trek interest, not NuTrek. If defending my point is "being on a bandwagon", you're pretty unaccepting of my views (not to mention hypocritical).

- I wasnt adversarial, I simply offered my opinion. I never once cut down your opinion or said it was wrong. Please dont pin that on me because I did not do that.

- The relevance I was speaking of was that of the the warp drive being explained, not your comment. Everyone here has posted relevant comments. I simply stated that mentioning the warp drive in the film wouldnt be relevant as all the characters knew about it. That would be like someone explaining how your lawnmower works everytime you cut the grass.

- The OP's question pertains to the art book for the new film, in which a writer makes an explanation that doesnt make sense. Seeing as how the book and its comments are non-cannon, its irrelevant to the point that some people were trying to make.

-Please do not lecture me on being confrontational until you have followed yourt own advice. I have tried a number of times to end this arguement on a civil note, yet you continue to insult me and pin me as unaccepting of other's opinions, which is BS. I never said anyone's opinion was wrong, but I adressed tham with my own. Thats what forums are for.

- I dont care if you've been here for eith years an I for only a month, it doesnt make one of our opinions more valid than the others.

- I never put anyone on the defensive. I offered my opinion. I wasnt rude about it. If asking for explanation isa confrontational, then I guess I'm just a jerk?

- I have a problem with HYPOCRITICAL criticism, but not criticism in general. For instance, saying that one freaking inaccuracy is unacceptable/ruins the movie is dumb, as every Trek has its issues.

- If saying "nitpickery", which I thought was a silly made-up word, offends you, then you should relax. You are offended by nothing. What, do you bleed when someone blows on you? (JOKING, calm down)

I wasnt "jumping on" anyone for their opinion. I was providing mine as well as explaining why certain things were/were not done (at least in my opinion). You dont seem to be too respectful of my opinion, so please dont be hypocritical and pin that on me.

Sorry bro, but you're way too sensitive. Its the internet, its forums. If you cant take PG rated humor, I cant help you. I was considerate of others views and never used a single insult (save calling you a hypocrite, which I'll show later on), yet you warp everything I say into something that just isnt true. Then you try to act as if everything that I say is directed toward you. Sorry cupcake, but you're just not that important to me. It's funny to that you mention that "when confronted, you dont wanna play anymore", as most people understood my joking and didnt confront me. They uderstood that if you can poke fun at yourself and still have fun (or in this case, us the fans). You were the only person who "confronted" me; everyone else offered up their own opinions in a civil matter. You are the only person who took it overboard.

Plus, you're a hypocrite. Dont get all pissy with me for saying something like "Hey, its a movie" and then quote someone and insult them for saying "Used to" as if you're King of Grammar (I realise it was probably sarcasm, but its still proves my point). I have met plenty of respectful users who can take a joke and have a good time, yet have a civil arguement; you're not one of them. I treat people the way I'm treated, hence the attitude towards you. Furthermore, you fail to provide ANY examples of all of this "belittling" that I do. It seems, you're just upset that I dont agree with you. All of your post directed to me have been hostile.

And when on Earth did I make "derogatory" comments regarding someones opinion? Come on man, this is borderline slander.

Okay trekbuff, I quite literally just went over all of my comments in this thread, yet I still cant find anything that is even borderline offensive/derogatory/unaccepting of other's opinions. In the posts that I stated that "it was a minor oversight" or that "it's not a huge deal" or "does it really bother anyone" I made a point to post that it was just my opinion, and I never stated that another opinion was wrong. Furthermore, I fail to see where I was offensive to anybody that I addressed (BTW, the "see what I mean folks" comment wasnt directed to anyone, but rather the fact that Trek fans tend to go overboard [my opinion] on minor details).

Anyways, I'm done with the arguement. You can believe that I'm a narrowminded monster, whatever. I've defended my point to a point where I'm stateing the same thing over and over. You've defended your's to death as well. We have no new points to bring up by argueing (and more importantly, no new points related to the topic) so I'm done. (Really this time):p

Mkay, Trekbuff, I have lost all respect for your arguement at this point. It's one thing to point out my quotes, but to flat out lie is ridiculous. Please find where I called anyone "dumb". I do feel that the warp drive issue was irrelevant (you seem to have misread my post, I never said the thread was irrelevant), but I never called anybody names. I'm willing to be civil (for Christ's ske, the slander comment was a joke), but when someone flat out makes up stuff, I get ticked off.

Also in my review of the post (mentioned earlier), I found quite a few instances of you responding in the same manner as me. I could point them out, if you'd like.

The thing we need to remember why some get so passionate is because we have a passion for TREK. So when all is said and done please remember that. :D

I understand that, and I consider myself very passionate about Trek. I guess it makes for debacles like this, eh? Anyways, I definitely respect the passion and the love for the franchise that alot of fans have. My whole arguement was about someone judging my character. Anyways, I can totally respect someones dislike over a certain issue, such as this, I just dont have to agree with it ¿:p .
