Not opened it up yet. Soon, my friend, soon. Is it of note?

See for yourself.

I refuse to taint your perspective of it. ?:D

EDIT- And there is a topic either on the General or Movie board about it once you do get to see it.

Don't look at anything yet unless you want to be spoiled!!!

Thanks for the heads-up. I will tune in when appropriate.

I got my niece--translate, "for myself"--over a dozen ST novels from Amazon, both new and used. That was cool.

Then my nephew gave me the Ships of the Line Calendar, which was really cool of him.

I've spent well over a decade engendering and developing and nurturing these two 24-year olds fans, and if I do say so myself, I've created some really incredible Trekkers, out-of-generation though they were (they were never quite the "right age" to become fans on their own). :)

It's great having kids to use as an excuse to buy cool Star Trek toys ;)

My niece is only 8, so I recently bought her the STXI Kirk and Spock barbie dolls.

The added bonus with this is that now, whenever she plays with the dolls, she asks me to put some TOS on the TV for them to act out. Double result!

Did you get her the actual Barbie versions or the higher quality ones from Playmates?

Hmm...I don't actually know the answer to that.

Spock was the standard 'official' STXI doll that the shops carried...but I couldn't get Kirk in the shops so I got a more rare 'barbie' Kirk from e-bay.

The New Old Enterprise, and the new movie, plus Star Trek Scene It.

(My Brother got the Nerf Vulcan, does that count?)
