I was really impressed by Bruce Greenwood as Capt. Christopher Pike.

Yes he was very good and surprised me with his performance. I am a fan of his other work but I did not know how he would come off as Captain Pike but I think it was a great job. He had good chemistry with the rest of the crew.

McCoy Rocked. I felt like an absolute Goober for picking Pine just now... (who I liked very much in the film)

What just happened there? Brain needs a freaking format and reload...

John Cho was in the two Harold and Kumar movies, he had a recurring role in Ugly Betty, and currently has a regular role in FlashForward.

Karl Urban played Eomer in The Lord of Rings: The Two Towers and LOTR: The Return of the King. He can also be seen alongside the Rock in the movie version of the videogame Doom, and the Vikings Vs. Native American Indians film Pathfinder.

Urban was awesome, he hit McCoy dead on.  Peg was great as Scotty as well.
I actually liked all of the acting with the excetion of the young Uhura, she was awful, and (OT)  does anyone else think that the Uhura/Spock thing was STUPID???

I like Zoe as Uhura and she was good in Avatar from what I hear. I thought she was good in all her scenes. My take on the Spock/Uhura thing is they wished to make an homage to the famous Uhura/Kirk kiss but to the next level. This way they reference the original but give it a new take and also make it part of the character development and interaction.

I voted for Greenwood.

"And you are a pilot... right?"

"Is the.... parking brake on?"

And then the half-smile, half smirk when he finally says "Let's punch it" after Sulu figures out what's wrong...

I loved Pine as kirk, he's the one who I didn't have to suspend disbelief for at all to imagine him as a young kirk: mannerisms, voice and look spot on!
however, Karl Urban came a close second.
