Myth #2: Young Wealth Is Inherited Wealth
Inheritance of wealth is not the primary reason many pentamillionaires are younger today. Only 26% in last year?s survey said an inheritance played any role in their wealth status. Many other factors were cited: 37% said work-related stock played a role, 32% cited work-related bonuses, 20% pointed to liquidating a business and 17% cited taking a company public. ?These findings make perfect sense because the majority of wealth today is first generation.

Of course, a majority will always say it was their doing. ¿ ¿They don't take in to account the leg up that they get from their families wealths. ¿ ¿Dad doesn't have to give you a million dollars if he helps get you a job on board. ¿ Then, of course, it wasn't "inheritance."

I constantly am thankful for my fate to be where I am. ¿ ¿I know that I could have started in worse situations and whatever I do, I thank the luck that gave me the opportunities. ¿ ¿ I grew up in lower middle-class town just outside of Detroit. ¿ ¿ I knew we didn't have a lot growing up, but I also got to see that it was even worse for some of the people in neighboring areas. ¿ ¿I had a good school district and a dad who made enough money to keep me in decent clothes and decent food. ¿ ¿ ¿

I knew I was fortunate to have what I had, and when I got older and saw the conditions of the schools and neighborhoods in Detroit (I used to work delivering stuff to Detroit Schools), I saw that the people growing up in those neighborhoods truly were less fortunate.

A person may need to seize the opportunities when they get them, but that doesn't mean they aren't lucky to get them in first place.

So luck should be punished?

Success should be punished?

At what point do I keep what I EARN??

All the government keeps screaming for and taking by FORCE is more. I see ZERO return on the money they take.  My life becomes harder to maintain because the government wants more of my income, and wants to distribute it as it sees fit.

Blah blah blah luck causing success is a myth the unsuccessful like to cast upon the successful so they feel better about themselves for not living up to their full potential.  Luck is nothing more than opportunity meet with preparedness.  I always take the disadvatage excuse as a cop out when we have people like Condalisa Rice who started from nothing and worked her way up.  Even president Obama puts to lie the "disadvatage" excuse as he didn't have a father growing up and was eventually abandoned by his mother and look how he did.  There is nothing barring some physical or mental disability that can keep a person from succeeding as much as they want to.

Do you have any data on how often that happens?
