That would be SO COOL if Star Trek was nominated for a handful of Oscars, and even better if it won Best Picture! That'd show Hollywood that Star Trek's not just for dorks. Personally, I'd like to see Karl Urban nominated for Best Supporting Actor and win - if he did, I bet he'd dedicate the award to DeForest Kelley.

I hope it wins something! But with Avatar coming out, which I am sure will get nominated in the special effects category, it may beat trek in a category I was sure it might win.
But I do hope it wins something.

I wouldn't go silent. 1) The movie would still suck even if it was nominated. 2) I don't pay attention to award shows of any kind. They are a waste of time. |

They will never go silent. They can't handle the fact that it is actually a good movie. Would they ever admit that? No! Anyone that disagrees with their opinion is just put down as stupid. There will always be the various people that don't like the film for there own reasons though. That's just their opinion of it. Personally I liked it. |
