Older.?:O

I'm about the same size as I was then, perhaps a little fitter.

I wasn't happy with my employment at the time.

I had only been married for 3 months almost about the same time of being married at this time.

I feel as though I'm walking the Toblerone at the moment.

One thing that I have noticed dramatically is the weather, environmental change, and inflation; Governments being more controlled.

10 years ago ----- Busy , hectic .... I was a workaholic , was working lots of overtime , lots of call-ins , stressed , overloaded with projects , was spread pretty thin across several plants , I had a very poor work-life-family balance . I wized up in my last year or two and started saying no to my boss , the snr managers , and delegating more of the work to others and reprioritised my life.

I'm retired now , and only do what I feel like doing , and I do everything at my own pace and need answer to or satisfy ?no-one except my wife. ?Retirement is great (especially early retirement if you afford it, got stacks of life ahead of me to enjoy with my wife, family and eventually grandkids), miss the big income but we are doing quite OK.

I am a bit fatter now than I was 10 years ago , and not as active now as I was then , I'm not stressing about it as I am otherwise extremely healthy (no problems with collesterol, triglycerides, heart, kidneys, etc, apart from being morbidly obese , my GP can find nothing wrong with my health apart from slightly elevated blood pressure ... two tablets a day controls that) , just fatter and greyer and I take pants that are bit bigger (by a couple of sizes) , and it's now a tighter squeeze behind the steering wheel of The Beast.

I am still young enough to unretire if I decide to, I still get requests from ex clients to take on projects or asking if I am interested in executive engineering and management roles .

In the process of planning our next 4x4 fishing safari (autumn / winter this year) and getting my private observatory built (a DIYS project).

10 years ago I was sitting in my 6th grade classroom.
My teacher had set my friend Cindy and I up as desk partners across from a boy named John she liked...
She's a mom with Two kids now, the first of which was born while we were still in High School.
Other than that not much has changed.
I've found my love, am in college and watch TV constantly. :D :D

Since we're on the eve of a brand new year (and decade), I got to thinking about this question.

How has your life changed from 10 years ago?

Any major surprises, triumphs, disappointments?

It should also be noted that shortly after news of Neil Bush's involvement in the S&L scandal hit the press his father, George Bush Sr., announced the Desert Storm campaign in Iraq, which subsequently had the result of making Neil's name quickly fade from the headlines. In addition, while Neil Bush's divorce proceeding were exposing more backroom Bush dealings, America was once again bombarded with war propaganda for Operation Iraq Freedom.

She wasn't like that at the beginning, honestly. The signs were there, surely, but over time, she changed and, at last, became unbearable. I finally worked up the courage to leave. Thank GOD!!!! :D

Let's see...

10 years ago I was almost 22, just about to start my Honours year, and still living in Tasmania. And if I recall correctly I was probably just back from a trip to Adelaide and had probably just started to drive myself crazy directing a play for the first time. *never again* lol.

Since then I moved a whole lot of times -- to Japan in 2001 and back again in '03, then to New Zealand the following year and to Dunedin in 2008. I worked heaps of jobs like teaching ESL, driving shuttles and taxis, kitchenhanding, cleaning, and picked up on a postgraduate course which I am now halfway through.

And discovered internet forums in 2006 when I decided that the internet had developed enough for me to like it after all.
