When I was a kid, I used to love Christmas for the gifts. Now, I love Christmas for the FOOD!!!

Also, our Church usually puts up a fabulous show during Christmas day. A truely fitting way to honor the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!

he was not even born that day. church changed everything and forbid everything.

The 25 th december was the day the god Wotan was riding on his horse Sleipnir together along with his warriors, so they could fight the titans and monsters trying to get out of Utgard, invading our world Midgard.
I believe more in this version.

They chose the 25th december because the days get longer again, and the sun triumphs over the shadows, which fits for Jesus.

I know that Dec 25 is NOT the actual birthday of Jesus. However that's the day celebrated and I see it as that!

I really love New York City at Christmas time! I love to visit Rockefeller Center and walk up 5th Avenue. The kids like to go to FAO Swartz, The Disney Store and if we have time, Toys R us in Times Square. Sachs creates some really nice window displays as well!

Drunk and disorderly. ?Not necessarily in that order . . .

That's how Christmas used to be celebrated in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance until the mid 1600's when Cromwell abolished Christmas-but the people wouldn't have that so they replaced him with the royalty that Cromwell had replaced

You see, the people at first didn't mind not having a king but when Cromwell took away Christmas, they just couldn't tolerate not having Christmas so they ditched Cromwell

Cromwell was, frankly, a fruitcake. ¿

He was the Original Scrooge in My Book!

Hmmm  Maybe that's who Dickens based the Scrooge character from
