Star Trek There are only 10 star trek movies

1. Star Trek: The Motion Picture
2. Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan
3. Star Trek III: The Search for Spock
4. Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
5. Star Trek V: The Final Frontier
6. Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country
7. Star Trek: First Contact
8. Star Trek: Insurrection
9. Star Trek: Nemesis
10 Star Trek XI

You all know which movie is missing from the list and I won't dignify that movie by even typing it's name

That movie was more than just a bad star trek movie, it was a terrible star trek movie that ruined the TNG series and split up the three great characters of star trek: Kirk/Spock/McCoy and left a bad scar on the star trek canon

That movie was made only for the trekkies only for two reasons

1. Analyze what's wrong with it
2. Describe how it could have been better

Sorry Generations IS a star trek movie. It shows the last heroic actions of Captain James T. Kirk, just because you feel his death was wrong doesn't justify your opinion. Besides how many deaths have you liked? Are you going to like the way you die?

You can discount the movie and not count it as part of your personal canon I am just fine with that.

But every thread you start is about this movie and Kirk's death.

it's not healthy but it wasn't just Kirk's death that was the problem with star trek generations

There are many problems with generations

some examples are:

The death of the Enetrprise D- undignified and meaningless- when the Klingons attacked, all Riker had to do was remodulate the shields

Data's emotion chip subplot was completely wasted, instead of turning it into something poignant and meaningful, it was turned it into comic relief, which made me sick to my stomach

Why didn't Picard go back and save his brother and nephew from the fire since it only happened a few days ago

These are only a few examples

I agree there are only 10 Trek films but I would delete JJ-Trek and add Generations.

Whether you like a movie or not, there are still 11 Star Trek movies. I don't particularly like Generations or the way Kirk died in it but it is still a Star Trek movie as is ST XI

True. They could have called the first one simply Star Trek as well. It's not like we were unaware that it was a Motion Picture. But then Trek can be good at trying to over explain things at times.
