I bought 2 of the Target 2 disc DVD exclusives - one is on display and one for archive purposes. I also bought a regular 2 disc DVD for use as a loaner...

I almost bought an additional 2 disc version but decided against it since I very rarely watch special features more than once. I do have a copy of it on the hard drive though.

One single-Disc DVD copy.
That was good enough.

2 Disk DVD although I may buy the BluRay version to see the additional features.  I guess that means I have to buy a BluRay player as well.

two single dvds.
one to keep
one to give.

will 'go for the gold'
so to speak
when
i upgrade my system.

will then get whatever
dvd pkg
that has the
absolute most
information.

ie.
how it was made,
behind the scenes
with anybody..
director
producers
actors
craft service.
who blew their nose,
whatever.
comentaries by
anyone.

not star trek of course,
but with more than a few
other movies
i have been known
to watch the 'extras'
and not watch the movie.
or watch the comentary
and not watch the movie.

the 'extras' are
part of the spice
of my life.

I bought the Target BluRay exclusive, the case that becomes the Enterprise. The model was surprisingly detailed. Except I wonder why it had a green and not blue bridge dome? I thought about buying the regular BluRay version also but if a trilogy version comes out on BluRay I may wait and get that if the other two movies are good. I think they said it would be a Trilogy.

^^ The bridge dome was greenish in the film, for what it's worth.

Don't forget the full iTunes version as well which now has "exclusive extras" apparently.

Really I thought it was blue? Unless it was light reflecting off of it changing the color? In the behind the scenes they said they did this for the Enterprise. It was an homage to the TMP 1701 because the TMP 1701's surface changed color when light reflected off of it.
