Here's a new article on the reaction to the disclosed Shatner scene:

http://trekmovie.com/2009....be-done

From the Orci - Kurtzmann May interview, it sounds like Orci was all for pitching Shatner the scene but that he was overruled by "the Supreme Court" of Abrams, Kurtzmann, Lindelof, etc.

Anyway, from the trekmovie poll, it looks like 64% of the fans that responded thought the scene should've been in the film.

Well the other thing is TUC was in 2293 and Generations was too. So the recording would have to have been in 2293 which we saw Kirk in 2293 in 1994. So would they have been able to shave 15 years off his face and gut for this recording? See my point!

Maybe I am in the minority but I think this movie is good without the Shatner scene. But if done correctly it can still work so maybe I am just undecided.

Don't feel too alone, I think it is good without the Shatner scene as well. From what I read, the scene sounded a little bit too much. I think if anything, they could have used the hologram scene as something Spock Prime viewed after he and Spock had there talk about staying in Star Fleet. It could have just simply started out with Kirk wishing him a Happy Birthday and concluding with a more emotional "it's been many years since our first days together on the bridge of the Enterprise. I hope I get to see you again soon old friend". Of course Bill does not like cameo's but all I have to say to that is "d@mn-it Jim!"

what are the producers thinking about that(just 1 line from Orci), now they see the reactions of the fans they can make an alternative movie, or that the movie was a dream and he not died.

we can speculate

You mean Generations was a dream or the new movie? With the new movie the writers say it is an alternate parallel reality so the previous time line still exists. Unfortunately in the previous time line Captain Kirk died in Generations but in this new time line Captain Kirk is alive again.

In a rare event they feature Nimoy for a small cameo with the Vulcan refugees they can always do this scene in the next movie. I feel they can feature Nimoy and Shatner in a cameo together for the last time. I would prefer a scene like this which features them both instead of a cameo from only one or the other. I do not wish it was in the new movie but if many wish for this scene I respect that and wonder if it can be used in the future.

I am 100% sure I would have cried during the movie if that were in it.
