I wonder if Paramount will come out with a new Trek Encyclopedia that will have both timelines now that Trek seems to be surging in popularity again?

I couldn't find where the NX-01 gets a TOS facelift.
SB63 why don't they want to do another Encyclopedia? I guess because of sites like Memory Alpha?

each time they made an ecyclopedia it was premature. they made them before some of the series were finished. they need to make an updated one since all the series are completed.but abrams film has no business being in the book though. and i went to memory alpha and not that impressed with it.

exactly, they were always in a hurry to update it when a series was still going and now that they are all finished, they just gave up.

I loved the encyclopedia but haven't used mine in years because now we have memory alpha and memory beta. These are easier to access and free to update and use. Who uses hard bound encyclopedias anymore? If we don't for fact, why would we for fiction when the internet is much more efficient? Did starfleet officers have books? No, they had the federation database. Live the trek life, use memory-alpha.

I'd start a poll, but don't know if hardly anybody would vote. I personally like the idea BUT I probably wouldn't spend money when the time came because of memory alpha and because the haynes manual was such a let down. The good thing about the encyclopedia I will say is the charts and tables were better than anything on memory alpha but the size charts I like are on the internet.

Thank you for sharing the links. That looks awesome.
As for the "encyclopedia" Memory Alpha - beta is not an "official" encyclopedia, as members can alter articles, however I doubt that most fans would buy a book that will eventually be outdated.
